Are you here to make a quick buck or in for the long term?

Just curious as to why you are here. Do you want to spend time (perhaps years) building a steady and consistent long term online business or are you more here for the quick buck?

Definitely the long term. It's a great feeling not having to worry about money.

When I first got started in internet marketing I was blinded by the "get rich quick" mindset, but after 10+ years my business is booming and my work is finally paying off.

While there are (rare) cases of people making fortunes overnight online, you have a better chance of winning the lottery.

I would say it would be hard to make a 'quick' buck. If you do get around to making a list, you need to build trust in order to get a responsive list. So, definitely long-term mindset.

Yay, a poll to distract me from actually working!

I'd go with long term, since I'm not even doing any internet marketing yet. Mainly looking around to see whether it'd suit me.
Oh, and learning tricks in the meantime, of course.

There are always ways to make quick and easy money but they tend not to last because they become saturated or people catch on and become wise to it.

...or people abandon those ways as soon as they realize they have to actually DO something.

      All the best,

I'm in for the long term. I want to be success. I've been going on for six years with little success. My success, if I ever have it, will be sustainable.

But to elaborate...you always have your core businesses that are long term real businesses...

But when fads come along, I always jump on them and make a few quick bucks before the bottom drops out. But you never invest much capital or time into such things, and you always realize that it's like "found money"...you treat them almost like hobbies; all the while still focusing the majority of your time and effort on your tried and true long term real businesses.

Bit of both. Like 80% of my energy is spent trying to make quick bucks and the rest is spent on setting something up for the long term.

I'm going long term. My plan is for multiple income streams, so that if/when one dies I have others to fall back on until I can replace or repair it.

I'm for the long term as well... To be 100% hones, when I started I did it with the "I'll make huge amounts of money by tomorrow" kind of mindset, but today, I'm more than convinced that long-term is the only way to go.

What I like more about IM is that it's practically an endless profession: Each day more and more people are getting internet access (meaning more prospects each and every single day)

And with new tactics and methods (and softwares, and so on) been created and shared each day, there's no way you can feel "bored" in this field.

I should think for most the idea is to be in for the long term, but no-one turns down a quick buck.

I started promoting offers when I was in highschool. Then I went to college, got a degree in computer science.

I got a high paying job, but ultimately find it too stressful.

I'm the only boss worthy of my devotion.

I wanted to make a quick buck. But I definitely got bit by the digital entrepreneurial bug and I'm doing this full time as a copywriter.

    Loving it!

Overnight success only happen once, there is no way a beginner's luck is repeated. In the end, people will look for long term success by nurture their business, gaining trust slowly, evaluate its process time to time. Once you get even a small accomplishment, you can expect a a steady income ahead.

I did the whole "grab a quick buck and move on game" for about a couple months and then realized I actually have a passion for this stuff. Been full-time for nearly 5 years.

Im In for the long haul and I have the body to prove it.

I stock myself full of pizza and cheeseburgers so that I can spend copious amounts of time in front of the computer. At the current rate I should be good for the next 3 weeks.

    I am here for both.
While I am making quick buck I'll be setting up a system for long term passive
    income.

You can always have both. Why settle for one income model when you can have both?

Long term all the way. The 'quick bucks' are always gratefully received - but they come as a result of a long term approach....not of a primary focus or a deliberate intention.

For me a quick buck mentality would mean I don't take my life, lifestyle or my business seriously...or the people I work for and with.
