You wrote an eBook. Where would you sell it and build your affiliate base?

I've just been told today ClickBank would not be ideal? What else is there?

I agree with this. Depending on your niche. The "make money online" niche isn't the best niche to get into over a Amazon. You CAN sell ebooks on this topic, don't get me wrong, however, there are many other niches that do way better.

      Good luck!

I'd start off with a WSO, head over to WarriorJV and JVZoo, start small, build your way up.

    Good luck.

If it's your first ebook, then I would advice you to start selling it you first to see if it actually converts.

If you have a verified Paypal account, that's all you need to start selling it.

Create a simple sales page and drive some targereted traffic to it.

Try E-Junkie. It's great! I know a lot of people who use it. Here's the link: E-junkie Shopping Cart for selling downloads & tangible goods

As far as building affiliate base, start building relationships with potential affiliates on places like Twitter and Facebook. Support them in their ventures and get to know more about them. Then, more opportunities will come up to discuss joint ventures and affiliate relationships.

I use clickbank for one of my infoproducts and it's working out great. The downside if you're just starting out is that clickbank charges around $50 to sell a product plus they take something like 7% from each sale, but they take care of paying affiliates.

As far as affiliates, I just do a google search for products related to my niche where the product creators could shoot an e-mail to their list to promote my product. So, I google them and then e-mail them.

If you're looking to build a legit brand, business and establish yourself as an authority then you NEED to have your own website that either revolves around you or the eBook.

You should be capturing leads so you can be your own affiliate! Offer an affiliate program that will pay them out 50%/75% or whatever you're comfortable paying out.

Don't just randomly push out some $7 WSO that's going to teach people something revolutionary

There's nothing wrong with launching a WSO, but I HIGHLY recommend you start a website for the eBook and just start promoting it via here. You'll get sales and affiliates. If you can prove that your conversion rate is solid, your EPC looks good and you have a quality product, you can easily approach affiliates or they might even approach you once you generate some sales.

I personally don't like Clickbank due to anyone getting a refund for 60 days no matter what the reason is. They can contact Clickbank and say, "oh, well the author wears Nike shoes and that pisses me off." They'll promptly refund the money.

I would try selling it by yourself. Get yourself a small site for your niche and market it!

I would definitely put together a small site and focus on driving traffic to that site in order to sell your ebook.

Sell your ebook on your website. Promote on Paydotcom. Setup an affiliate sign up page and submit to all of the affiliate directories online. And also advertise your affiliate program.

  • Hi there Randall, short, sweet, and true.
As a side note, we launched a book and tested the waters through our G+.
We pushed out the book to all circles with some catchy copy.
We tracked the clicks and moved those that downloaded the book or clicked through
    to a new circle.
Then we hit those in that circle for affiliates.
Worked pretty well and gave us some stats for further affiliate recruitment.
