Live Offline Event for Online Marketers?

I am thinking about holding a LIVE event or even a Mastermind program about using our skills as online marketers in the Offline world.

The material I've seen tends toward SEO, auto-responders, web design, opt-in lists, etc.

However, there is sooo much more involved to keep people profitable in the long term.

Is there enough interest for this to get off the ground?

I've got enough clients and track record NOW, to spend two FULL days with a proven system. Looking for input just to see if I should move ahead.

Warmly,

Millard Grubb

    Hi Millard,

What area of the country are you in? I may be interested in helping with an event. Either way I would be interested in chatting with you about forming a Mastermind group.

I work with offline clients helping them do everything from SEO to direct mail to trade show sales training.

    Hi Millard and Doug,
Yes please let us know which area you are. I'm in North Jersey/NYC area and feel could also be a good contributor. Been interesting in joining a mastermind group as well.

I've actually done this, so I can speak with some authority on the matter.

Yes, there's a lot of interest in the subjects you mention.

The problem you face is that most people aren't 'searching' the right 'terms' to find you, OR, the terms they are searching are too general to compete with.

Finally, when you say 'event' I immediately think "Seminar"

But when you say "Mastermind Program" and it's pre-qualified with the word "Live" that means you're thinking on local levels, such as 'meetings' which is fine, but you'll need a lot of offline promotion to make it work.

The good news is, offline promotion can be pretty cheap and easy once you know how to do it. Just look at the Offline Gold/Offline Marketing threads. There's LOADS of valuable info in them.

Sticking with teaching 'businesses' is going to be the most profitable for you since they have budgets for things like education and marketing.

If you're trying to reach 'newbies' though, you have to target 'individual groups' of people, ie. stay at home moms, computer programming college students, etc. You have to keep your price point fairly low to appeal to enough of the 'general public' but one way to do it is to have a yearly membership fee where your attendees get a newsletter and a schedule of 'mastermind meetings' where everyone meets to brainstorm.

Start with the city you live in, build it up, then scale it up.

    Hope that helps you out.

      Thanks CorwinX and the others.

Yes, I have worked with business owners quite a bit and yes, I have the major Offline programs. The challenge I see is that most of the Offline programs deal with JUST the mechanics of stuff we all are comfortable with.... I can go to businesses all day long and i have....

There may be a lot of online marketers that have gotten their feet wet in the stream of offline marketing.

I intend to dunk these offline marketers fully in the drink so they make more cash, for a longer amount of time.

BTW, I live in the Ozarks... so I have quite a few offline businesses to choose from within 4 hours in EVERY direction.

      Cheers,

      Millard

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it.

BTW, I just got a salesman today to fill seats for me, for a percentage. LOL

Putting your City/State will help people know if you are in the same general area... the USA is BIG!

I'm now in NY, and always out to meet smart warriors.....

Meetup.com is free -- the numbe rof groups greatly depends on where you are.
My local Meetup in Billings, Mt has 5 people looking for business groups and I know 2 of them already.
