Shopify vs. Volusion vs. BigCommerce, etc.

Does anyone have any experience with Shopify, Volusion, or BigCommerce?

I'm currently leaning towards Shopify or Volusion. Volusion is a little cheaper ($19 vs. $29/month to get started and no transaction fees vs. 2% transaction fees).

But a few of my friends are using Shopify.

If any of you guys can share your experiences using these solutions, I'd appreciate it.

I've only played with them all a bit, and mostly as a developer building integrations. Shopify would be my choice. I found it easiest to use, and there are some really high quality apps you can plug into it with just a click to add more functionality, integrate other services, etc.

I had found forum posts while choosing suitable shopping cart for my store, that persuaded me to move to Shopify. Because I was scared about my store data, clients... And you know, I am happy with the results, thats true! Shopify solved my website problems and it is more suitable for my business. look through this page, I had used this tool to migrate to shopify Shopping cart migration to Shopify - Shopify Discussion - Shopify Ecommerce Discussion Forums

I've been creating online stores for seven years and I've tried every platform worth mentioning.

I now only use Shopify. They have the best customer support, the smallest learning curve and you will save a ton of money if you upgrade features of your store by using plugins from their "app store". Many off their apps that costs $20 and less would cost hundreds to have implemented into other eCommerce platforms.

They don't charge transaction fees if you use the $179/month unlimited plan which should be your ultimate goal anyway...

Start with the $29 plan and upgrade as more and more sales come in and it makes sense to pay the $179 (to eliminate the transaction fee).

    Good luck!

I've had a lot of conversations with Anton about dropshipping, etc.

The man knows his stuff... worth listening to IMO.
