Amazon swim fin niche. Trademark and improvement questions

Hey everyone! First post on here

I found a good looking niche that I knew about and I thought I could make money with so I went for it (first site). There is a trademark in the url (churchill fins) but I thought I'd go for it anyway.

churchillfinsreview.com is the site. My main keyword is "churchill fins." It gets 1,000 exacts a month. I ranked for it shortly with one backlink and now sit at 3/4th position on google.

1) I have called and emailed the company that owns this brand to get approval for the trademark infringement in the url, I could not contact them. I was going to walk into the location and see if they would sign something that says it's ok. Does anyone know what form that would be?

Before I spend any more time on this site I want to make sure it's worth my time.

2) Check the site out and let me know how I can improve on it. It s been up for 2-3 months. In the beginning I was #1 and sold $130 and got a $5.12 amazon commission. I was stoked, it worked! Nothing since:confused: Also, no one has entered their email to my optin list. Now sitting at 3/4th position I get 5-10 visitors a day (from all traffic sources combined).

3) what do you think I can sell it for, if anything? Now and then If I get the trademark approved, get to #1, and ramp up sales?

Thanks for reading and any help would be huge

If they have not contacted you about the trademark, I would not worry about it..In my earlier days I had a cruise site with Carnival name it, they finally contacted me to shut site down after a year...Summer winding down may be cause of sales decreasing on the fins?

thanks, I could definitely fly under the raydar for a while, maybe forever because I know the company that owns it and the don't care/monitor it at all but I wanted it to be legit.

Possibly, I was hoping different countries like australia (big market) and other countries would keep up sales since they have oposite seasons.

It sounds like you are putting too much brain power into a site that has made just $5.12.

They may or may not sign off on use of their TM in your domain. Most companies will not formally allow it. You'll increase your chances by limiting site content and revenue streams to only that company.

The site is a typical first timer effort.

Without an income history you are selling just the design and content. I'm not seeing anything too attractive in that regard. The text content is probably worth $20-$50 to someone who needs it.
