if the design and content is 90% different then there is little you can do to be honest. If your report is unique to your website and has been copied then i would ask them to remove it but thats about all you can do.

..work harder than ever in providing a better product and service than this clone and all your other competitors.

..I'll also add that in competitive markets it's generally a race to the bottom in terms of pricing and throwing features in for free. This is a zero sum game. But the way you can be different, and perhaps is the only exception is the race to the top in customer service. I really do believe it's one area which most business get it fundamentally wrong. Get it right and you'll stand out a mile!

..now put away the legal books, forget suing them and get making some money!

Content is different, design is different, etc etc... perhaps you used the same system (service feature/reports being same) as someone?

Layout - You CAN'T "Own" a specific layout ie. Header here, banner here, search bar here, button over there etc.

Graphics - You CAN own, but someone is free to make similar styled graphics to yours, as long as they are not copies of your graphics.

Content - You CAN own Text content, But as long as its not copied (similar is ok). Have 10 people write an article each on any subject, there will be many similar sections. It just cannot be a copy or be obviously paraphrased.

Features - You CANNOT own a feature. If I program a website that allows users to share files, anyone else can copy that feature and create a website that does the same thing! It's only a problem if they copy the EXACT 100% code! Even then, if your code relies on just one or two commands in a particular language, (ie. Get variable, print variable) then its ok if its the same. You can't own that!

Service - You CANNOT own a service in that nobody else can compete against you. Unless you have a patent on this service/product/product you service you are out of luck!

Look at what I wrote... look at what they did... did they break any laws? I would guess not from the information you provided.

  Yes, you are right but if we compare that site with mine then you will notice it is much alike mine site in terms of feature and content is not same but say almost same things. I know, it is clone but I guess, I cannot do anything?

It was a patent of a product feature, huge difference. You can't mess with a patent. People don't have patents on web coding.

I don't think there's anything you can do.

Millions of websites fall into that same category -- ie. having some similarity to another site.

It doesn't sound like a clone.

Are they taking business from you?
