Article directories vs press release sites

Although an article is different from a press release, which of these sites do you prefer when building backlinks or building traffic?

Most article directories takes days or weeks to publish your article, but PR sites publish it almost immediately. The good thing about press release is that, you can put your link inside the body of your press release article.

3 days ago, I ordered a $5 press release submission to 52 PR sites at fiverr. I just received the result and I am impressed seeing all pages having my links in High PR sites.

    Hey buddy,

    What kind of traffic did you recieve from your PR?

    Personally, due to the nature of my niche, I'd prefer going down the PR route. Articles in my opinion are beginning to fade in the big niches; maybe I'm wrong. My analogy is why write excellent content for other websites when I can write it for my own blog? So I'd prefer to do a PR, and predominately use it for traffic o, as well as backlinks.

    I'm interested to hear your results on PR.

      My main objective is backlinks and these PR articles were written especially for PR sites. When posting content to my site, I always write 1 standard article and 1 PR article. The standard article is then posted to my site while the other PR article is posted to PR sites promoting the article posted in on my site.

          I used only selected article directories (eza, goarticles, articledashboard, articlesbase, articlealley and amazines to name a few)
