What do bloggers need?

Beside more traffic and more sales on their products.
I am contacting some bloggers and want to make them an offer they can't refuse.

I think bloggers in the grand scheme of things want the following:
    more sales
    greater productivity
    more profit
    better image
    more customers
    no hassles
    more free time
    notoriety

Content. Bloggers want someone who can auto-pilot their content, updates to the site are what keeps it alive... Bloggers also need copyright free photos to use... Aside from SEO, traffic, sales, etc.

I am a blogger, so this is just my opinion.

I would want to see that you are doing successfully whatever it is that you are trying to sell. I do not believe that bloggers want auto pilot posting solutions, or even sources for copyright free photos, especially if those ideas come with semi-typical IM trype marketing.

But the bloggers I pay attention in marketing anyway, are folks like copyblogger, and firepole marketing, and derek halpern. You can go by their sites and it is obvious they not only know what they are talking about, they are successfully doing what they are advocating.

If you can provide that, with some doing and promoting, you are going to have a heck of a product.

      • It really depends upon the end result the blogger wants. if the blogger is simply writing for him or herself, they need an audience. However, if the blogger is trying to make a full-time living writing blog posts for others as a service, they need more money...or to be paid better for the skill required to write solid content, day-in and day-out.

Off the top of my head, I think "highly targeted traffic" is always a pretty appealing prospect? More or less whatever their reason for blogging, people want that? "Traffic" is real marketing-speak, though: it could be better, depending on the context, to refer to "highly targeted visitors"?

  • Many bloggers don't know how to turn their audience (recurring traffic) into $, because they don't know much beyond tossing a few banners, Adsense boxes, etc. Perhaps a few lessons on conversion would be needed.

The last thing successful bloggers want would be to auto pilot their content. They know content IS their blog and would not allow anybody to play with it. Ultimately everyone need money but if you are to offer something else, may be traffic, better serps etc.

To create a wildly successful blog there are a number of elements that must come together.
    1. High quality SEO Content and Traffic strategies that work
    2. Killer offer (to generate leads and keep people coming back to your site)
    3. Provide valuable and usable content that people can get results from
    3. Engagement and the ability to connect with your audience.

People want to be entertained, engaged and educated. Provide all three and you have the potential for a great blog where people will learn to trust and like you. Results = success. People need to leave your blog knowing that if they implement what you taught they will get results. Achieve that and they'll keep coming back (and telling others)

This. Right there is the formula to write an engaging blog: engaging, educating and entertaining posts. It's difficult though: most blogs are rather dull to chew through, so you never bookmark them.

You have to at least give a clue of want you are offering so that bloggers can know if to be interested in it or not. Or are you giving out money?

There's a few things that every blogger needs:

Content, every blog needs to have content. They need to give value to the readers and preferably they should be SEO optimized for the keywords the blogger is trying to rank for.

Backlinking, this is something that is very important in order to rank higher in the search engines, it's also something that most people (like myself) don't like to do. If you are good at programming you might create a program/plugin to create backlinks.

Traffic, every marketers needs this. No traffic, no sales. If I would sell cars for only $1 each, and there's I don't have any traffic, nobody will see my offer and I won't sell.

Automation, this is also very important. It's probably your best bet in creating your offer, writing a blog post is a one-time action, creating backlinks for someone is too. But if you have some form of automation, you get the benefit from it every single post.

Also remember that most of us are in here because we want a better life, right? Most of us want to make more money while working less. So if you can help people with something that can do an hour's job with only a few clicks of the mouse, you have something that's of real value to them.
