Good Conversion Rate, Little Traffic...Opinions Please

Hi Warriors,

If there is one thing I have learned from my 3+ years of Internet Marketing it is that I have a lot to learn.

Soooo, I need to open up some dialogue here and ask for some opinions and help.

My main goal is list building and I have a primary sign-up page
Weight Loss Plateau / Speed Up Fat Loss

I just put StatCounter on the page a week ago and my conversion rate (sign-ups/unique visitors) is at 25%. I am not sure, but I am thinking that is a pretty good conversion rate.

As you can see from the page, my sign-up wording is very simple and just hits some emotional buttons. I am wondering if I get such a good conversion rate because the vast majority of people that come to the page are directed there from an article I wrote. I have over 1,000 articles published on EzineArticles.com under the topic of weight loss (not all point to this sign-up page).

In other words, I think my article builds trust and this makes it easy for the visitor to put their name and email into the page.

Here is the problem. Even though my conversions were at 25%, I only drove 266 unique visitors to the page over the past five days. Up till now I have primarily turned to article submission sites (i.e. EzineArticles, ArticlesBase, etc) for my traffic. I like article marketing, but I need to expand my horizons and get my articles published in other places. How can I gain exposure for my articles? And, how can I find people to publish my articles in their newsletters or on their blogs?

Thanks,

Becky (keithgillaspy's wife)

I suggest you add some image to your squeeze page.
    It will be more attractive.

And you could try to promote it on Paid traffic source.
    Like Facebook CPC.
    There are very targeted.

Well, not to be cheeky, but there's your problem in a nutshell. Unless your articles are getting syndicated to sites that are going to send you traffic (and the right kind of traffic) you won't get results. Article directories are not a traffic source in and of themselves.

      Thanks MilkerFocus for your reply.

Jeremy, thank you also. You have a good point that article directories are not a traffic source. I do tend to forget that point. However, I do like article marketing and think if I can get my articles in front of more eyeballs that I can drive more traffic. Do you have any thoughts on how to get article exposure or get others to publish my articles on their blogs or in their newsletters? I am mainly in the weight loss niche.

      Thanks,

      Becky

go into other weight loss forums and start talking up your site-- don't just go in spam blazing, but rather add helpful information and provide the right plug at the right time-- you will see good results with this

Ok, your squeeze page conversion was 25%. What is your sales conversion? If you have a good sales conversion 2-5%+ then you can send paid traffic if you have a funnel in place or have a offer that is priced to bring you a return on your investment.
