Are You Constantly Making Mistakes?

If you answered no, then you probably aren't trying hard enough...

Or you are one of the very small percentage who "get it" right from the get go... or part of the minority who can take what they learn and systematically apply it.

For the rest of us "mere mortals", success is often a result of trial and error so don't beat yourself up too badly.

We all make mistakes.. it's a fact of life. Almost no one gets it right the first time. If at first you don't succeed etc etc. You know the old saying right?

The essential key is to slow down. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. The same goes for working online. Have you ever tried stuffing a whole elephant in your mouth? Metaphorically, some of us have tried with poor results.

I often tell my kids that if they do it once, then it's a mistake. But if they knowingly do it again then it's just plain dumb behavior. In other words: Learn from your mistakes and don't repeat them.

So it's ok to make mistakes. don't let them get in the way of your dreams... but make sure you don't repeat them! Get this right and your are destined to succeed. get it wrong and you are doomed to fail.

Best of success to you all!

Yea I make mistakes all the time but the difference is that the mistakes I make now are small mistakes where as before they would be big headache mistakes.

I hope I am making mistakes. If I weren't, then I'm probably not learning.

Humans are wired to grow based on pain. If you do everything "right", then you're getting the emotional gratification that keeps you from changing something for the better. Like a child, we stop touching the hot stove because it burns.

Sadly, too many will keep touching the stove.

I'm definitely making a lot of mistakes. Thomas Edison stated that he made thousands of mistakes before finally being able to get a light bulb to work decently. No?

The answer is yes and no. From our perspective, he did made thousands of mistakes but from Thomas Edison's perspective, he just found out thousands of ways that didn't work. I'm not making this up. It's true! I find it funny but at the same time very inspiring at how optimistic and persistent he can be which eventually leads him and all of us to a bright world.
