September Earnings Dropped

I don't know if it's just me or there is someone else here who has his earnings dropped this September.

Last couple of months, one of my CPA sites was ranked 8th with its main keyword. The site was averaging 200 organic visits per day and was earning around $70 to $80 per day.

This month, the ranking increased to number 4 but the visits has dropped to 150/day. Earnings has dropped as well to around $50. This seems strange. The same is happening with one of my CB sites. Ranking increased but visits and earnings has dropped.... Anyone experiencing the same problem?

On the other hand, one of my Amazon sites is doing well while ranking increases...

    Yeah, my few 'auto-pilot' income sources are down a couple of hundred dollars, but I have actually made the most I ever have this September due to me having a few extra copy writing clients paying me a lot more than I have ever asked for...

    ... It's been a good month.

    If traffic is down but rankings up, have you checked if your traffic by country has changed?

      Its still the same. US is still on top of the list followed by UK. CTR has the same percentage.

        This is completely the wrong wording, but can you add your face to the search rankings by adding an author profile and hooking it up to your Gmail account?

        They say having a picture there will increase clicks by A LOT, especially if you're the only one in the top 10 results with your picture.

                I followed a guide on the Thesis blog. If you don't use Thesis you'll probably have to Google to find out.

                You add an author link to your code and add it to G+, I think.

                  This is referred to as Google Authorship. That should help searching for tutorials You rel = author statements and you're good to go.

    I have noticed over time ... maybe just me.

    If I am not ranking in the top three I would rather be 9 or 10. The middle has never been good to me traffic wise. Just my train of thought here but I believe if the searcher doesn't find what they need in three times they scroll to the bottom. If the description is good for your site they click before going to page two.

      I somewhat agree on this. I myself skip the first to 3 results as I don't want clicking ads. I think my site is mistaken by some people as sponsored ads that's why it is getting lower visitors compared to when it was on 7th down.

      It has nothing to do with it as my site is ranked higher than before. This is not Panda/Penguin related issue.
