First Timer looking for step by step approach

Hi all, I hope all is well.
I have just registered a domain name. I want to set up a process that will provide me with a passive income stream. After research into domains and the keywords I would like to set up a website that combines affiliate links to products/services and I would like to utilise AdSense as a potential income stream. As part of this I would like to gather visitor information and begin building my list.

I've been looking at a E Lance, freelancer and people per hour along with other outsourced sites. I'm also looking into fivver as a means to create content/links/likes etc
I will go through the process of setting up a Facebook page and twitter account to drive some traffic. I'm looking at using either Joomla! or WordPress. My aim is to obviously generate relevant content that is SEO optimised. So basically I want to go through the motions and begin testing the market but I'm looking at getting your views on the best approach.

My question is:
what would you do to generate income if you have just registered the domain name and got it hosted and ready to go. I would be interested to find out what your first port of call would be. Would you go to outsourcer first to develop the content? Or would you generated content yourself and use outsourcers to drive traffic etc.

I'm in the process of writing a book and this is taking a lot of my creative time so outsourcing seems to make sense but if I can get your views and your step-by-step approach it would really help me and probably a lot of others on here.

Many thanks for your time

It's not a good idea to have adsense and affiliate links on the same page. You don't want the adsense competing with your affiliate links. The person visiting your site is probably looking to buy a certain product and you don't want them to click on a google ad instead of your affiliate link. Why would you want to make $2 instead of $40? However, do remember one thing. Some people can arbitrage their affiliate adwords campaigns by utilizing adsense or cpa on the affiliate pages. But these are a select number of people. They can afford to test their campaigns. Noobs such as you and me can't.

If i was your position then i would like to depend on my own ability. I would like to decorate my own websites by joomla and i want to add fresh and quality content over there. I think, it would be better if you create your own website and if you able to write your own content. Don't depend on freelancer. Because they would not care your website as you want to be cared.

Yes. writing my own content is the best approach and i intend on writing most of it. but, i am looking at outsourcing as one option not the only choice. if you have had experience with outsourcers i would like to hear your tips/views. Thanks

I'll set up squeeze page, offer a free report (PLR or your own success story if you have one), set up email autoresponder email series with your affiliate link then start buying solo ads and contact potential ad swaps partner. That's it!

No, I'm not kidding. That's the only real step by step method that will show you what works and what doesn't.

First, google is not only your traffic source my friend, there are tons of them.

Second, with solo ads, he's the best guy to learn from -> Reed Floren's Solo Ad Directory.

    Cheers,

Too many people rely on Google. So what if Google tells you your niche is too crowded. If you have a good product to offer let solos ads be your route. A solo ad does not care about the other 10 million marketers trying to make the sale.

I am not clear what you wanna do actually?
    IM or freelancing?
    Interested in adsence ?
Just make it clear what you wanna do ?
Then take step for it,freelancing and IM both are different.
