Would This Method Make Money?

I was thinking of getting targeted traffic to multiple salespages using PPC(microsoft adcenter). Each salespage selling something as simple as an ebook. I'm hoping by setting the products at a cheap price and running multiple campaigns would get me conversions. Do you guys think this would work?

You would probably get better results by getting the targeted traffic onto an email list and then warm them up a bit before sending them a buy link. I think this would have better conversions than just sending them to a sales page. Mind you, if your product fits the search very well you could get good conversions. The type of product affects things. I do not personally believe that an ebook is the best option however for this type of strategy.

I see. The thing is, getting a list and having to write all those auto responder emails is a lot more work. I'll keep that in mind though. I'm just going to give this a try and see what happens. If it doesn't work out that well, i can just move onto something else, no big deal.

Yes, lots of companies sell things cheap and advertise them and make money. Lots of people sell things cheap and advertise them and don't make money, too. Every retailer in the world runs multiple ad campaigns at the same time; that doesn't really determine whether they're profitable or not.

Your question is about as easy to answer as "I'm going to invent a new product. I'm not telling you what it is, what background I have, how I'm going to produce it, how I'm going to market it, or how much I have budgeted for advertising. Will it sell a million units by the end of next year?".

Anyway... why ebooks? They're cheap because most of them are worthless, and we've been trained that books should be cheap. If you're new to running a business and effectively marketing products, you want the opposite -- expensive products with high profit margins, not cheap ones with thin margins. $100 of profit per sale pays for a lot more learning time than $1.

If you haven't done the math, you will certainly fail.

I wouldn't sit around and take advice from arm chair intellectuals, I would actually get out there and try it and see what happens. If it doesn't work make some changes, and see what happens, continue making changes and getting better, the best thing you can do in this business is to act on an idea as soon as you get it.

It might. If you are selling items that are in demand. Of course, the PPC costs for items that are in demand can be daunting. In general, if you are going to send people straight to a sales page that is intended to convert directly to a sale you are going to want high demand items or services. Your ppc campaign should be targeting "buying phrases". i.e. when a bald man types in "fix hair loss" and clicks on your link it better take him to a page advertising Rogaine.
