New Press Release Service

I am not sure if I should post this here or somewhere else so mods feel free to move this to the appropriate section if necessary but I just wanted to get some feedback for a Press Release service I am going to launch soon and what you guys would want included in the service and price points you are looking for in a high end press release service.

Same network of news sites that PR Web uses for the Top Tier submission "Financial" Press Release Distribution Pricing Packages - PRWeb (not an affiliate link of course!) but it is not using PR Web but another service with the same submissions to USA today, Google news, Washington Post, New York Times, Huffington Post and all the other top authority news sites.

I can either have clients send me a professionally written press release or I can have them written by my personal professional press release writer.

Let me know any thoughts, ideas, price points and any other feedback that would be helpful before launching this service.

I am actually thinking about a membership option which I am considering the price point at 97 dollars a month for 4 press releases a month(1 per week) for those with more than one site or SEO clients.

    Thoughts?

Marcia, that is exactly why I am here! I want to know what you want in a service and not just list just anything so let me know what you need and want and I will see if I can make it happen.

For a start i would expect a higher standard of grammar than what has been offered so far in your posts plus less frequent use of exclamation marks. Just saying..

Also, the following should be standard

      1.) A decent mid-range price
2.) A far reaching distribution would be a big plus
3.) Perhaps multiple price points with different levels of service.
4.) Proof of distribution with a list of URL links attached.

      Regards,

        Mike,

I think one challenge you're going to have is that of credibility ... not necessarily your own, but with the distribution channels you use.

It's one thing to blast an email to news sites but quite another to get the email opened, read, and have the editor or whomever then post your release online.

If you're going to use an already established service to do this, that's fine, but it begs the question "Why doesn't the consumer just by-pass the middle man (you) and work directly with the distributor?"

If you're not going to use an established distributor, how can you make the case that a new company has any "ins" or credibility with channels that I'm guessing get bombarded every day with tons of small business releases.

If you're simply going to write the release that's one thing. But if you're going to distribute it I think you will have to work very hard to prove that you can get results that are better than more established firms like PRWeb.

At any rate, I wish you the best of luck with your new venture Mike.
