What Can I do For You?

This is a phrase that is often overlooked by
people. The law of reciprocity if powerful and can
make a big difference in your bottom line.

We often hear from budding Internet Marketers
"How can I recruit an Army of Affiliates" -or How do
I get people to promote for me when no one knows me....
or how do I........?

When it comes to rolling out a product and you are looking
for people to promote. Your approach should be one that
is relationship focused and selflessness.

Approach potential partners / affiliates with a
"What can I do for you" attitude.

Additionally, keep in mind that you do not necessarily need
to have a boat load of people promoting for you in order to
make big sales. 7 out of 10 affiliates who sign up rarely
produce anything anyway.

With that said....focus your efforts on a core group of people /
known producers. Get in touch with them, build a relationship
with them offer your services to them upfront if you have to.

This helps get your foot in the door and gain trust. A group of
10 people who have been hand selected ....at times can ....
out perform a group of 100.

When your efforts are focused and spend your time building
relationships that are truely partner centric and built on the
basis of give and take....you will see more favorable results.

And lets lot forget the 6 Degrees of separation principle. If you
are working on developing key relationships with say 10-20 people
who can produce results....there is a High probability that they each
know another 10-20 highly successful producers. Thus, if your approach
is right you will find yourself with a large group of people who
will more than likely promote your product.

Keep in mind that your product must provide value and be put together
well.

The fastest way to get there is by offering to give before you ask to take.

So will you promote for me Sean?

But Sean, how to find those first ones who will produce results?

People usually do not respond to emails if it's JV related.

I've read somewhere that you should be friend with a potential JV partner before asking for a JV with him.

But we are doing business. Why shall I be friend with them first?

    Excellent info Sean.

I feel in this day and age that people are being bombarded with JV requests and are pretty much being bogged down with them.

I would certainly "befriend" them first and get to know exactly what they do and how if anything they can help me - because in the long run you are making long lasting relationship with someone who you will highly regard and trust and, they then, the same with you (if that makes sense...)

It depends on the tone and approach of the email. And that is exactly why you should take time to get to know them.

It is harder to do business with people you do not know.

I could say a lot of things to a lot of people but to win the business I must establish credibility, accountability and trustworthiness.
