Sales letters, OTO, Upsells -- templates for Wordpress or Joomla???

Hi,

I'm going to be launching something relatively soon and would like to use
Wordpress as the format, but I don't see any sales letter templates, or systems that allow one-time offers, upsells, etc.

I'm looking for an easy way to generate these in WP or Joomla, if possible. Otherwise, I guess I'll have to get somebody to build out in HTML.

Suppose I could get one of the Butterfly Mktg. packages, but I understand it's a clunky, difficult system to use from a technical standpoint and sites look mediocre -- while great for the marketing stuff.

Wordpress and Joomla offer great aesthetics, but the marketing elements aren't there, or at least I don't know about them.

I'm launching a Webinar series and need a way to make a video/opt-in page, then additional video pages, sales letter, OTO, upsell, etc.

Can you give me any tips or direction on this?

I'm not a coder by any means.

I think one key is that while a plugin or page template may be available, the truly awesome sales pages will still have to be done by pro designers who understand the marketing behind them.

Someone posted earlier today about the Wordpress theme Flexibility 2. It has a sales page associated with it.

The Flexibility theme now comes in two flavors - Flexibility 2 is free, FlexSqueeze is not, but it's still a relative bargain.

The new FlexSqueeze theme is almost certainly what you are looking for. Within one Wordpress theme you have HTML Squeeze pages including all the typical Squeeze page graphics. You also get an easy-to-customize WP theme.

Until FlexSqueeze came along, the choices were limited. Some themes can be tweaked to look like a squeeze page, but then you lose a lot of Wordpress look, feel, and functionality.

There was a plugin offered here that gave you the ability to add a squeeze page, but then again, once the visitor clicked on the squeeze page link, they would be transported to a page on your website that looked like an entirely new website.

The FlexSqueeze theme combines the two (Wordpress and HTML Squeeze pages) while still giving you lots of user-friendly options. Check out the sales page and see if I guessed right.

I put together a template called WP-SalesPage that can be dropped into any theme to give you a nice clean salespage template.

The main bonus to mine over other options is that it works with any theme. If you have a theme you like already, no need to change to get a decent salespage template.

The FlexSqueeze template looks awesome... it's just a little pricey.

Hi dmag1, I don't think you need complicated plugins, etc. to make such sales pages with Wordpress. Here's the simple sequence:

1. Create a new theme without a sidebar, just showing the page content.
2. Create, in WP admin, the sales page (one or many, if it is a sequence).
3. Create the OTO page(s) also in WP Admin.
4. Create the up-sell pages, thank you pages, etc.
5. Link pages one after another using the standard Wordpress interface.
6. Put a Buy Now button.
7. Link the payment processor to point to your thank you page after the purchase and link here as many OTOs and upsell pages as you wish.

Piece of cake!

Absolutely free.
