Need Some Advice Should I Keep These Domain Names Or Get Rid Of Them?

INTERNET MARKETING

They are set to expire soon and I have three options really.

1. I could keep them and continue using them as I have been as forwarding domains to a website with actual content.

2. I could just delete/not renew them.

3. Or I could renew them and attempt to put them up for sale .

Can’t think of a fourth option in this case. But here are the domain names all of them are .coms

Incredible Tablets

All forward to a website where I sell tablet PCs and smart phones.

I would give you the forth option, develop them.. the more feature website would be and the optimized it is the higher the value in the market..

I would either do:

Option 1 - Using them to forward to your main domain that's selling tablets. But additionally I would develop them, add more content to them and try make them rank better to get more exposure, even if they just forward to your main website.

Option 2 - Make them into small niche websites in which you sell tablets (Or anything related to them) rather than forwarding to another domain.

If you honestly do not plan on-- doing something with them, then just let them go. Why, renew and waste your money?

I had a bunch of domains coming up for renewal this year that I did not see me having time to develop but "thought" they "might" have some domain value potential. I put them on my Sedo.com account then put them up for their auction system to see if they might sell on their auction.

Surprise, surprise....Sedo's auction evaluators did not see them to be worthy of their auction system (Hint: this is a good way for anyone who thinks they have a goldmine domain to find out if you have a lump of coal!). I subsequently left them on Sedo to see how much traffic was coming through and ultimately left them expire. Only one was picked up by anyone that I have seen and it was not used for the subject matter of the domain title.

  The odds that many people if any are going to type in the names of your domains and then get forwarded to your "real" domain are pretty slim.
  
  I have had some sites where I put a few pages on which are very keyword targeted, then have a big click here banner on those pages to got to my main site, that works pretty well for me.
  
  But if you are not getting any traffic now from those domains, you might as well let them go.

If they are going to make you waste time and money or they are not sending good traffic that convert to your main website, just let's them fly away, but if you do believe you can do something wonderful with them then keep them.

I listed them on SEDO and was shocked to get a suggested price of $729 for each of them. Not sure if that means anything though. So if all goes well maybe I’ll sell them to someone for a nice profit and that person can do whatever with them.

They will then either enter your domains into their auction or tell you that for one reason or another they did not meet their criteria to be auctioned or basically telling you that they have little or no value.

If you have little time left on the domain expire date then you probably would not have time to use this approach.

Do a search on the net for companies/sites that are similar in nature/name to the ones you have registered and send them an email asking if they are interested in buying them.

I'm trying that just now with some of mine.

If you see a board , and there is no shop , the board is just a burden

If you see a board + shop , and it doesn't have proper attention , bigger burden

Better not to have both.:p

I mean :- just maintain those domains on which you have sites and you are actively involved, all else is a surplus, dont renew them. Don't bother about future. If an opportunity has to come it will come with all the necessary things with it, otherwise what an opportunity

as already mentioned the probably best thing to do with these websides is making small niche websides out of them.
put up some adsense, seo for some 1000+ searches a month high competition keywords and make money.

You might just pick the one that forwards the most traffic to keep and let the others expire. I often let domains go when they come up for renewal if I have not done anything with them, my plans have changed or I just don't feel like investing more money in them.

I am curious as to your purpose for buying them in first place. If that purpose has changed because you lack time or other resources, it would seem reasonable to try and sell them. If, on the other hand, their values have diminished, let the expire and move on with your other business ventures.

That's my vote (not that I really have one in this matter).
