Internet marketing too saturated?

Hello! I would first of all say hello to you all since this is my first post (of many i hope) on this forum.

Have been doing a lot of reading regarding internet marketing lately.
Recently started to look at ClickBank and what products they had that I could advertise. Most of the products on CB were however low quality ebooks and other scam things that I really don't want to sell to my visitors. Is this the general opinion or do you guys actually use this? Another thing that got me thinking was that most of the products on CB already are promoted by everyone to MAX and there doesn't seem to be any real chance to promote these products anymore. Not with SEO at least. maybe if I start mailing subscribers.

I haven't been accepted into any CPA networks yet, but it seems like the majority of you guys are getting your hard earned money from CPA.

Since I've been living in japan for sometime and know the language I though that it could be an alternative to to do dropshipping/wholesale from japan to "elsewhere".

What do you think? What market is already too saturated?
What is the best thing to invest my time in now under 2012-2013? CPA? Drop shipping/Wholesale? CB?

Any advise is appreciated.

I'm going to take a shot in the dark, here, and offer a wild guess that you've been looking either mostly or even entirely at products in the Make Money Online and/or Internet Marketing fields/markets?

There are about 298 other "niches", you know?

There are over 15,000 products there.

You can make a good, big, full-time living by promoting 10 or 20 of them.

Some are very, very competitive, it's true (and if you want SEO traffic, that can certainly matter).

There are thousands of others, that aren't. Some of them are excellent, have high conversion rates, and are much easier to sell.

    Very good observation. I agree.

In all my experience (and I've tried many traffic sources), SEO traffic is the worst imaginable, for promoting ClickBank products. They opt in less. They buy less. They're hard to attract, in some niches. And Google can bring out a new algorithm tomorrow and take them all away from you through no fault of your own. Some of us think that's a horrible "business plan".

But promoting ClickBank products, overall, isn't really "saturated" at all.

Internet marketing will never get saturated. On the contrary, everyday more and more stuff are sold online and more and more people are selling their services on the internet.

CB has hundreds of high selling products and there are tools to check Clickbank's pulse and find profitable products.

What I think is that IM is still in the "Gold Rush" phase!

Frauds and scammers are the main problem in IM. People who are honest, they suffers the most for all these fraudsters. Trust and Honest are very important to stay alive in web. I wonder the way scammers find out ideas to scam people. What if they use their brain to make good ideas? I hope this web can be the most safe place ever.

IM can never get saturated. There are so many people who want to make money from home, and there are so many ways to get in front of those people. The main obstacle for most people is their inability to focus on one direction and see it through to profit. There is plenty of room for all of us. As Alexa said there are tons of other places to go to make money.

Internet marketing isn't too saturated. People make money from it everyday. There are all kinds of niches that you can enter into. There are alot of high quality products and software on CB that you can make a killing with.

If one thinks that internet marketing is too saturating that must mean that there is a lot of competition (Well of course) and if that is the case then there is money being made. A niche/market with no activity what so ever is something you want to stay away from. All the top guys will tell you the same.

i think marketing isn't over-saturated but as everything else on-line, it's on the decline

people are not earning like they were 2 years ago... definitely not as easy.. it's become more of a real skill than just a 'read and go' thing

Internet marketing is not saturated and will never be. The Internet would not exist without Internet Marketing. Without IM, no product online could be sold.

Theres lots of potential on CB. There are any number of niches with low competition.

I think you just answered your own question.

If you see questions like this "Internet marketing too saturated?" it means that there is lots of competitions so there is lots of money being made in this niche.

While I agree that there is stiff competition or hard to brand oneself in this niche, you can still make money from it.

However for a newbie tis better to stick to other strong niches, like health and wellness niches...they are very good! If you are advanced, or got dem skillz ....then IM niche is good.

You gotta remember that "Internet Marketing" means just that. We have taken those two words over the years and kind of molded and melded them to really mean: taking a product or service and selling it online and via digital media.

You can market and sell anything. It doesn't even have to be a digital product. There are many people that run very successful businesses selling physical goods. eBay as one example is still technically "Internet Marketing".

You can sell anything online, just the other week I was chatting to a friend on facebook that wanted to sell sex toys and anal plugs online... anything goes. Just try to stay within the realms of decency and sanity

I can see how you are limiting yourself here. I don't blame you though. I used to think the exact same way. You are thinking that you are up against the wall because everything is taken. Everything is promoted and saturated so there's no room for you.

But that is far from the truth.

Aside from the fact that there are other niches than the IM niche, you should also know that there are other methods aside from CPA, dropshipping and CB.

What you know is only a portion of what IM is. You can choose to give up or keep on learning.

No such thing as a saturated market. I know that's hard to believe when you see a gazillion promotions of the same products over and over, but you need to realize that a lot of people who promote things don't do it well, and none of these marketers are capable of targeting ALL interested leads. So don't let a seemingly saturated market deter you.

Find holes in your competition and fill those holes. Learn about what kind of people want what you will be offering and in your ad copy write to ONE prospect - your primary potential buyer based on your marketing research.

A lot to learn if you are just starting out, but you can do it if you apply yourself and don't get caught up in jumping from one thing to the next. Use laser focus and be willing to work and to learn.

Saturated? Absolutely (marketers will never admit that theres too many of them). Does that mean anything? Well kinda.

What it really means is IM is saturated with garbage. Like any other niche you can think of. Because of this, there will ALWAYS be gaps in the market that need filling.

Those gaps will always exist, so you just need to find them and fill them imo. Think of marketing like swiss cheese. From a distance it appears like a solid block. But when you focus in on the cheese with binoculars, you start seeing holes everywhere. Probably not the best analogy, but thats how I like to view it.

Yes and no. There are way too many people operating in this niche, and most of them aren't qualified to be here by any stretch of the imagination. The good news is that they don't last. The bad news is that there is always another newbie waiting to replace them. It's the ultimate:

You need to get motivated first, you have to believe that some people are making millions of dollars on internet and it is true, you need to research more and come out with anything which is helpful to the society..

I like what Joseph said, there are hundreds of people in the niche talking the talk and walking the walk but it's all just an act...

... like he said - they come and they go.

They will always be there, and as for sub-niches in IM there are hundreds, it appears that every single day there is a new way to make money online.

So ulitmatly, I would say on a personal level, that it can't really ever be fully saturated - although for some it seems to be getting harder and harder to make money in the niche.

Now I'm not that deeply involved as a product seller in the IM/MMO niche, but I'd wager that it's actually getting a bit easier for the good ones. Newbies who don't know better (and veterans who think they're too good to get caught) try all of these crap/questionable methods with reckless abandon. They make these things easy to spot if you're the FTC, an affiliate network like Clickbank, or a traffic source like Facebook and Google.

Their loopholes are getting closed, and the standards for the niche are being brought up, whether people like it or not. Those who were doing things the right way in the first place seem to just "keep on keeping on", while the previously mentioned group b****es and moans about how their business was wiped out.

You see it every time a loophole is closed: a bunch of people complain, but it's always new people because the previous whiners didn't last .

Lol... that's right, run for your life. There's nothing to do here!

Just kidding. One thing you should know, the Internet is only getting bigger not smaller. More and more people are getting in touch with technology each and every day. Every aspect of online businesses is expanding daily.

Every time a company says they "can't afford to hire me", I respond with "in 5 years you won't afford NOT to hire me". And that is the truth my friend about Internet marketing.

More books and goods are sold daily on Amazon than in any other store-chain in the world. And that's just one obvious example...

Best wishes, and try to straighten out your attitude about any business before you can prepare yourself for success in any field.

      Dan

P.S. Why do you think more an more products come out every day in the IM, dating, weight loss niches??? Is it because they're saturated??? ...No, it's because they're profitable. There's no such thing as saturation, there's only quality and conversion rates.

A lot of economists would beg to differ. Now, you're correct in stating that those niches are not fully saturated yet; but it's borderline foolish to pretend that saturation doesn't exist.

Never. There will always be new product niches as products are updated and new ones are developed.

    The only constant is change.

Remember, its not the big that eat the small, its the fast that eat the slow...nowhere is this more true than in internet marketing.

Commerce runs on supply and demand. Demand is constantly changing as society and technology evolves and new needs and opportunities develop. So, internet marketing will never be saturated if you learn to see opportunity for yourself and think outside the box.
