One Way to Stop Google Madness

The Only Way To Stop Google Madness... it's a simple formula

All these massive network owners need to stop supporting google. Take paycuts and support other search engines...............

People are ALL TRAINED... it's not about 'google being the best' it is just we've gotten accustom to using.

Think about it.. People can be marketed death and still 'go for it'..... Cigarettes sell because people go for anything that's marketed right

Therefore to roll back some of their power, put search bars on your sites for Bing or Yahoo something.

Just my thoughts........ Chime in........

Easier to say than done...lol Some of these top network marketers are easily making 6+ figure each month through Google search engine.

Bing is gaining market share but in my opinion it's taking forever to index pages, not very encouraging for the big guys to shift gears.

Huh! How about finding some better alternatives without thinking of Google? What you are suggesting is impossible.

You can't just suggest that big network owners should stop supporting Google. For all you know, Google might be their main source of income. Maybe you are right, Google is messing up because it has lots of users.

I have to agree. I was a big supporter of this a long time ago, (giving up google I mean,) but we live in this world, and whether we like it or not, in this world at this time google rules.

To go against it is futile, and without enough people angry at them, I can't see the shift happening.

If you can't beat them... Well... You know... Tail between those legs and whimper for that crumb....

Why don't you just look for another income stream that does not involve Google? Create your own network. Have a list of subscribers. Have your blog readers follow you. Doing this will give you a market that is ready to buy your products without messing with your site's rankings.

It's not that easy to take away what people are familiar with, those networks are also making more, they just can't throw away their source of income just like that.

People will move when it's time to move.

It's not gonna happen anytime soon. Not as long as they've still got the search figures.

Google plays a BIG part in earnings for a many internet marketers and SEO guys. Yahoo and Bing simply don't compare.

The difference between a first page ranking on Google and one of Yahoo or Bing is massive.

Google loves big time players and they love Google. Why would they switch to other search engines when they're making six/seven figures on monthly basis?

As a small player you either have to do your best to adapt to Google's new rules or just switch to other business model. I know a couple of my IM buddies trying to switch to new search engines, namely Bing. But big bucks are still in Google (as far as organic traffic goes).

Either switch to different business models (blogging, list building, social media promotion etc.) or adapt to new rules - build authority websites (they can be dedicated to a very narrow sub-niche, don't mix mini-niche websites with niche mini/crappy-websites), build your brand, use link-baits, viral marketing etc.

And don't rely on one single business model. I learned my lesson with recent Google updates. If you build your business solely around one traffic source - then you're not the real owner of your business. Until few months ago, Google was my 'major shareholder' because my whole business focused around SEO and organic traffic from Google. While I still invest a lot in building authority niche websites, my focused is shift more into blogging, list building, social media promo campaign, brand building networking and even product development.

What makes you think that "all these massive network owners" give a crap what Google does to the fringe players trying to exploit the latest loophole or weakness in its algorithms?

And what makes you think that even a few thousand sites (of the type they don't want anyway) changing their search bars to another engine is going to make a bit of difference? They might welcome it.

Tobacco companies don't have to sell cigarettes. All they have to sell is trying cigarettes, the physical addiction will take care of the repeat sales.

You've been given some good answers, WFS... and some that are obviously flippant remarks.

I agree that the only way for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing (sorry, Mr Burke!)

But... don't waste all your time fighting them, simply make it part of your message to your own network. I do and it gets applause in the real world (should I even say real world in an IM forum? Will I burn in IM hell?)
