[HELP]How to get namecheap's authorisation code for domain transfer

Hello Warriors.

I am in the middle of transfering a domain name to a new namecheap user. How can he find his authorisation code so that I may transfer the domain name from my namecheap account to his?

Personally, I do not know how to find it. The description give by namecheap isnt helpng matters. They gave this directive: My Account -> Manage Profile -> Push Settings page but I cant find anything like Manage Profile or Push Settings page.

Is epp code same = authorisation code?

Please help.

Thank you for your time.

Yes it is. Also their live chat is always very helpful whenever I've got stuck with anything like this in the past.

Their direction is correct. It's on the push settings page, or just contact them, their support are very responsive.

The authorisation code (to push from one Namecheap account to another) is NOT the EPP code.

The directive My Account -> Manage Profile -> Push Settings is correct. If you hover over 'My Account' at the top right of the page you'll find 'Manage Profile', and if you click on that you'll see the link for 'Push Settings' in the navigation on the left.

You don't need an autorization code to transfer to another Namecheap customer. Just PUSH the domain to them. Make sure they have all their contact info filled out or the push will fail, but it's quite simple to push a domain.

Click on the domain and then in the left column, Click on Push Domain to User. Fill that out and leave the Authorization Code field blank.

I believe the default setting in every Namecheap account is 'Requires Authorisation Code'. The only way the receiver can have the domain pushed to them without a code is if they change the push settings to 'Allow All'.

That is not the same as an authorization code. Just tell the user to change their settings to allow all and push it.
