Fiverr blocked Account and is holding my money now

Hello,

fiverr blocked my account for already 1 month. There is quite an amount of money on that account still left and whenever I asked them to allow me to withdraw it they said the account is still reviewing. Now the even blocked my support account so I cannot even contackt them without creating a new account. In the Terms of Service of fiverr in the General Terms it is writtten :

Sellers will be able to withdraw their revenues from blocked accounts after a safety period of 45 to 90 days, depending on block reason, from day of last cleared payment received in their account and subject to Fiverr's approval.

Do you think that they will give me my money back as to this sentence they are legally bound to give it to me back. I know that that 45 days are still not passed but I just wanted to know whether some of you made that experience and waited for 45 or 90 days and they paid the money back to you.

Thank you for all answers and help.

They blocked your account for doing xrumer blasts? Or was it something else?

I don't honestly know the terms laid out for sellers but I'd imagine there's a way to find out. You should type into google what your account got blocked for then read other peoples stories.

I do not really know why the blocked me but the problem is they stoped to answer my questions. I worked now for a long time in fiverr and they earned a lot of money because of my account and my orders. I just don't know how to talk with them or just to waite till the 45 day and then write them again.

Better to wait till 45 days time. One of my friends account blocked and got money on 46 th day. So, You need not to suspect they give your funds.

They told me no reason or I think they may said because of suspicious activities or something like that on the account. I just hope to get my money back and I not even want to continue the work with the gigs. So if still other people have experiences with it I would appreciate it if you would you share it.

You will sure be given your earnings....as for allowing you to operate that particular gig, NO.

I was offering seo gigs and blasts with xrumer. To paulie I could say it is not the first time they did so to me. About 1 year ago I was working with a friend on fiverr and we had a couple of orders when they suddenly blocked my account for 5 days. In this time I lost 6 regular customers and that is a lot in our business and there was not even an explanation why they blocked me.

I will wait now and see what happens and may hope as well but I can tell you it is already the second time they damaged my business.

They would not block you ordinarily. Back in the early days ago when I started out in graphic design I did really well from Fiverr. I never had a problem with them paying out. Sure there is the withholding period but they were always reliable for me. It just sucks for the amount of effort you put into jobs there is very little monetary reward especially for graphics services.

    There's the catch.

If they feel your services broke their TOS or were in any way illegal, Fiverr is the Judge, Jury and Executioner.

      Hello Martin,

to my opinion this sentence just says that fiverr is allowed to decide how long they will hold back my money but that means that I will get my money for sure and that is the thing that gives me hope ^^. So I would not say that they are the judge, jury and executioner. They can just decide to hold my money for at most 90 days if the think that my actions were very illegal. If I missunderstood the sentence feel free to correct my opinion

  • The OP was blocked because he was trying to contact users outside Fiverr's messaging system. It's the number one reason for being banned.

There's a 'gotcha' in that sentence that appears to give Fiverr the option to release your money or not. Read the last four words:

    "subject to Fiverr's approval"

If you did indeed do something that broke their TOS (like trying to avoid paying their fee by going outside their system), you might end up forfeiting the balance in that account.

      Exactly!

You agreed to work within their tos. This is the second time you've ignored their rules. They apparently have no time left for you.

I sure wouldn't count on getting anything more from them, including any remaining funds, which you donated to them by violating their tos.

It is really bad news for you. I also read that particular rule. Did you read that carefully. They said 'depending on reason'. What was your reason of getting banned?
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[7123868].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author TheXrumerServices
They still did not tell me the reason why the banned me. They just told me when I contacted them that my account is under review and that is all. So till now I do not know why I got banned and they stoped talking with me so I will wait till 18.10 and then ask them again as then 45 days are over and I hope I will get some answers.

I already talked with the support and they stoped to answer so learn to read as I already wrote it and to CharlaGibson if I knew the problem I would not open a thread where I would ask people for their experience with such a problem. So please read the whole thread before you write anytihng. Thanks for that.

Hello to all who are still interested in the results,

I got my whole money back. For everyone who this happened to just wait the 45 days and then contact the support. I contacted them on the 47 day I think and then they gave me 24h to withdraw the money and everything went fine.

Good to hear that you were finally able to withdraw your money from your account. I never heard of this happening before, but glad it has been resolved.
