Getting my website some traffic.

Hi there, i recentley started up a new website which targets people who want tutorials on how to improve/benifit more from there online/technological experience. My plan on getting traffic was to get each post near the front page of google so people who have the posts specific problem find my link first, i have one post on the front page however the rest are lacking. How can i improve this, my site is in my signature.

    Continue to push them up by building backlinks to them so that they can rank higher, you can also go the social way on twitter, facebook or youtube.

    Yes. goguy is right. You could go to Yahoo Answer to answer questions that related to your blog. Their quality of backlink is quite high. Yahoo Answer website is easier to rank on top 5.

    I agree. backlinks, backlinks and more backlinks. Get yourself more involved in forums around your niche, providing helpful quality replies and you'll get traffic (and backlinks) from your signature.

      I read somewhere that if you start getting lots of backlinks early on from making your site search engines can punish you, is this true ??

    try some press releases, and by that I do not just mean write a crappy article and post it to press release sites. Boring, and u will see crappy results.

    Write something newsworthy and post it to the top 3 or so press release sites and you will get insane results.

    Try guest posting to build backlinks and push your site up in search engines.

    Search engines give you the most targeted traffic you'll EVER find anywhere.

    You will need to do on going SEO work to reach the first page, or you can use paid traffic and if your campaign turns a good profit - hire a professional SEO team to work full time on your site

    Nice site. Ever considered throwing some advertising to it? Try article marketing and ESPECIALLY Youtube. How else are you making money from the site other than Adsense?

    - Post quality and unique content to your website once or 2 in a week, before that you will do some keyword research for the articles. Backlink and ping to those articles.
    - Besides posting the articles in your website, post also to article directories with the link to your website.
    - Blog commenting
    - Youtube video submissions
    - Create facebook fanpage and twitter account, link it to the web
    - Yahoo answer
    - Solo ads...and a lot more
