I have a pdf file that has a warning inside saying that it records your IP address and tracks any outgoing copies. I guess in essence it tracks the pdf files to discourage one from sharing it. Which I think is a cool idea. I have never heard of anything like this have you? I think its just a bogus warning myself to do discourage people from sharing but if you know this to be true and where one can get I would love to know to protect my own work. |

I am Adobe certified and the only thing anyone can do to stop copying or printing is to set password protection on the file. There is not special tracking built in to Adobe. The only other option is if they are using some kind of plug in or third party software.
