It is possible, but try not making them crappy and not good looking.
And as a source of traffic i would recommend ppc ads like Google Adwords. This will deliver 100% quality traffic.

Targeted traffic will always work. I'd say clean the sites up a bit and start sending targeted traffic, you will see results.

I agree targeted traffic has always worked well for me and I think it is the best method in this case.

Hi, the way I see it, you stop it yourself, its not about crappy or not, nowadays sales comes from marketing. Have you try using google adsense to boost the traffic? make a back-link, pay someone to make it for you? If you haven't, now is a good time.

one point for the new look... that's nice
now i need to think how i can get targeted traffic.
Right now i am using twitter, and some social networks that gives me around 20 visitors per day, and 0 conversions. I don't really want to use adsense ads to get traffic because when i used it before i got 0 conversions and a 42 dollars bill ( cant afford to lose that right now) so what would you suggest?

If you're going to build a blog empire you should do it on your own domains. Blogger have been known to ban affiliate sites.

You should also note that the blog empire post was made in 2010, when getting traffic from google was easier.

i know that i is a old report but still, if that sites can work and make money in blogger with the right traffic then in a own domain the amount of profit would be huge. the problem is that right now i cant have that luxury, so i use blogger...

Driving targeted traffic is a good idea. But as they all said in here, you should also make an effort to improve your site before you drive the traffic. Maybe your next post will show us how much money you made with the changes.
