The only way I can think of driving traffic to my squeeze page is to buy solo ads, and do ad swaps..

But what if I don't have money to buy solo ads, and not enough subscribers to do an ad swap... how else can I driving targeted traffic to my squeeze page?

Thanks

Thanks for your information, but of course I have done forum search already.. and by what I can see, you have just copy and pasted those methods from previous threads.

What my question was that how can I build a list with targeted audience such as subscribers from other people's lists (solo ads).

From that list of traffic methods, I can't find any of them that is as targeted as solo ads.

In fact, I have bought solo ads already, but its booked in the december..... and that's not helping me building my list at the moment.

That's why I'm seeking some other ways to drive traffic :/

Yes - I wrote that list several years ago - and rather than keep typing it up , I repost it when people ask for other ways to drive traffic.

You just restated your question differently to what you originally said.

"The only way I can think of driving traffic to my squeeze page is to buy solo ads, and do ad swaps.."

That is COMPLETELY different to "my question was that how can I build a list with targeted audience such as subscribers from other people's lists (solo ads)"

If you keep changing what you're asking for then it's gonna be hard to give you a straight answer.

My first post answered your original question "what are other ways to drive traffic".

With your newly stated question then only a subset of those listed would apply.

        Such as:

PPC (Laser targeted and immediate traffic)
PPV - depending on your content
        Video marketing
        Press releases
Co-reg list build / list swaps
        Banner ads

        etc. etc......

The answers are there - you're just not reading/considering them because you want your answer handed to you on a plate without putting the work in to help us help you in a focused way.

Solo ads aren't really "targeted". They are only as targeted as the other persons list building was and the overall quality of their emailing practices. Personally, I am not a huge fan because now you are list sharing... you know for a fact your subscriber is getting emails from the original list, + your list, + anyone else who did ad swap or solo ad on the list as well.

PPC, CPV are genererally the most common targeted traffic sources you can get. You can also buy display off of retargeting or demographic data which is targeted as well.

If you are talking about Free traffic, sure definitely go for anything that is targeted but pretty much any traffic that's free is good traffic. Beggars can't be choosers and when your only option is to look for free traffic, that applies to you.

BTW: You can't tell what's your best traffic until you track your ROI. Opens, conversion rates etc mean nothing compared to ROI and Volume of Revenue. So don't knock a traffic source until you have data on it.

Got time, no money? No problem, there's plenty of ways you could free, highly targeted traffic to your squeeze page.

Forum posting is one of them. But don't just spam threads with one-liners. In my experience, the best way to drive traffic is to start intriguing threads. First step is, naturally to find forums that are closely related to your niche. Make sure to check if they allow signature links.

Create a profile and post 10 – 20 meaningful, constructive comments on already established threads. That way you don’t just look like a spammy douche who just wants to boost the post count and promote her website.

Then you do a bit of research and detect which topics are hot at the moment, questions that are frequently popping out. Open a new thread and offer solution to specific question/issue. If you feel like you’re not capable, do a little bit of research on the net first. Your post can be a simple step-by-step guide or a method you’re using to solve that problem. Just make your post relevant, helpful and well structured.

And at the end of the post, invite other members to join the conversation and offer their POV. (and don’t forget to make your sig link)

Q&A websites – I heard a lot of debates on whether or not they are worth to invest in. From my experience, depending on the niche, they can provide some insanely targeted traffic. I won’t go too deep into this, just make sure provide the best answer possible and search for relevant questions and topics.
Guest posting – great method, but also requires a lot of work. First you have to find blog owners who are open for guest posting, then you have to convince them to accept your guest post (that sometimes include developing a professional relationship with them, asking them what topics would they like to be covered and so on) and then you have to write a really, really, really good article. And even then, some blog owners won’t accept it if your website quality doesn’t meet their standards.

You can also try contacting other list owners from your niche and offer them a free report they can send to their subscribers. Don’ ask for opt-ins, just include a link to your squeeze page in that reports, so if their subscribers find any value in your reports, they’ll look up for more of your work.

Blog commenting is also a good way to drive some free traffic. Aim for well known, established niche blogs. This method is kinda similar to forum posting, but you can even try the more provocative approach, oppose blog owner in constructive way for example.

Just a few techniques that worked well for me, hope this helps a bit.

Posting on Craigslist and BackPage daily will increase your traffic and leads for sure.
It's FREE also. After you start pulling in some decent money put 20% back into
    marketing and advertising again.

I agree, solo ads and ad swaps are great ways to build targeted traffic. However, you can also but a list of targeted subscribers by doing free content marketing and promoting your site directly to your target audience.

I used to think that doing SEO to rank on the search engines was the only other free marketing method to build my list, but boy was I wrong! Thankfully

I just posted a thread about this very thing, sharing how I've discovered numerous ways to drive free traffic outside of SEO.

You can check it out below....

There is tons of traffic out there - the trick is to have the traffic find YOU! Here's where we've had success.....

    - Craigslist
    - Solo ads
    - WSO (Free list-build offer)
    - Craigslist
    - Facebook
    - Twitter
    - Youtube
    - Craigslist
and probably a ton more that I can't remember without sufficient Starbucks intake.

PS - Did I mention Craigslist? -lol-

    Good luck!

Directly to the squeeze page or indirectly?

I give you the following tips...

1.Set up a YouTube video channel and start feeding it with videos form time to time.
Give away free information, then suddenly: surprise your viewers with a video under which you place a link directly to a page where they can download a free product (not the commercial squeeze page, a free report/giveaway page).
The product (PDF can be great) should contain a link or other indications on how to reach your squeeze page...
Make sure you're not directing your visitors to a pay page, because YouTube is well-known for banning/closing down channels/accounts for commercial activity...

    2.Develop your own Facebook community.
It's not good to use Facebook for selling but once in... let's say every 50-100 or more posts you can "drop" a link to a squeeze page.
In fact, Facebook pages themselves are squeezers...

3.Forums often have sections dedicated to those wanting to sell their products.
You can sometimes list your products there for free. I was surprised to find that from such pages I received a substantial number of leads/subscriptions!

4.Post free reviews, articles on specialized (article, review sites).
Describe the product, site, service... then at the bottom they might allow you to put a link to your site.

These are all free ideas... (1) and (2) are rather indirect, while the other two are direct techniques...

      Ellie:

Your post title, "How to find traffic?" is probably the wrong question to be asking. I think a better question is ...

How do you get prospects to find you? I think the answers you come up with will determine how successful your web business will be. What can you offer that will make prospects search you out?

If you are spending your time constantly searching for traffic, you probably aren't using your skills as a business owner in the most critical areas.

On the other hand, if you can figure out how to get your prospects seeking for and finding you, then you can focus your time on customer relationships, new products, expanded niches, scaling your business, etc.

The best to you and your business.
