1. Getting rid of cable and Satellite services
2. It's a YouTube Generation
3. Good Old Radio entertainment
4. Cell Phones on the rise
5. Computer sales steady and rising
6. Good bye to the good old telephone services
7. DIY for everything from gifts to home repair
8. Cash is King again
9. Get rid of credit card debt
10. No more gas guzzlers
11. Name brands are losing their clout but most don't want store brands either.
12. Again a steady rise in fast food consumption
13. First to get the ax: entertainment outside the home. Then it's dining out. Travel and vacations are next on the list.
14. Bulk buying is back
15. Haggling and Bargain Hunting is in full force
16. Recessions have little effect on living standards.
