Quick tip to start the month ....

Alright, I'm a day late, but hopefully that can slide.

My quick tip is just to reach out and talk to at least 5 new people a day, that you normally wouldn't.

Maybe it's sending a quick email to somebody who's blog you found really useful, or just really liked. Maybe it's a PM to a Warrior who had posted something particularly helpful or that just struck you in a way that got you fired up, maybe it's sending some personal advice to somebody who had asked for help...

Whatever it is, I've found that "forcing" yourself to make these connections can go a long way. I'm not talking about having marks or any other ulterior motives, nor trying to pitch these people with anything.

I've found that my most valuable asset in online marketing, beyond myself, is the connections I've made with people and you never know where a great one is going to come from. No, you're probably not going to make useful connections every day, maybe not every week - but all it takes is one to change the tides, sometimes.

This is what I liked the most. It's applicable for online and offline marketers/businesses.

Very good. Being "real" and helpful is what will make you successful.

The points you made are very true, having good contacts is one of the most important assets an Iinternet marketer can have, especially when he's just starting out and growing his business.

We interact with people fairly often in a business sense, but making some pals along the way makes this gig a lot more enjoyable I've come to realize.

Great advice. 5 people/day is a solid number, but I set a time of day. Normally around 1 hour per day I spend networking on Facebook, Skype and on here meeting as many new contacts as possible.

Solid tip MyNiches! Like frankbaker, I too limit myself to about an hour per day for networking. That way, I can spend the rest of the day working on other aspects of my business.
