Dear,

before i start, sorry for my english.
We own a small tool selling company ( 4 people ) in germany. We do our main business on ebay, amazon and our local store.
We have a webshop too. Now i want to start to do some SEO or spend some money in SEO. I played with adwords but seems i did it wrong, i got some orders, but not worth the money i spend on the adwords.

Google indexed all our sites. I use google shopping too ( some orders per month but not much )
Bing only indexed 50 products ( we have around 4,5k in our shop )
I never got a DMOZ entry... i tried it 3 times until now ...
What would you do, i will pay but i dont have to much time ( maybe 250 $ per month are ok to start with ... if i see results i will put more dollars in )
I always need an invoice if its a paid service.

Thanks for your help

Best Regards
Tim

I would optimize Google Adwords Compaign, and still do SEO. Remember that this a long term process, so don't forget about it (but don't make it your main topic). Focus yourself on the money making activities.

If your question is about internet marketing or traffic generation, then first I warn you that it's a time consuming process unless you are ready to invest a lot on quick media buying.

SEO is a long process and no one can confirm how long it'll take. But still you may not want to play SEO game with your main website. You may want to create a blog network and direct your main site from there. In any case, it'll take time.

Why don't you take a short term and a long term goal, set some money aside to do it and continue what you are doing. Short term successes will encourage you to do what you are going to try and long terms will bring big profit. Let me explain a little bit here. For an example, set up a blog and try to get ranking. Success in this will bring some traffic to your main site as well as encourage you to go forward. If you earn some money from it, reinvest. If not, giving a shot to another short term goal will bring no harm. Finally, you'll have a clear understanding whether SEO is good for you or not.

Contact your local daily deal sites like groupon and livingsocial whatever available or popular in your locality and see what they offer you for their campaign. Don't get overwhelmed. Calculate well before you take action.

You can start a facebook fanpage. It's easy to set up. Free in fact. But effective if done well or done right. Hiring a freelancer social manager is also easy and cheap. Infact facebook has a huge opportunity if you can utilize.

Use pinterest. Free, easy. Just pin share like repins...get traffic.

All these ultimately takes time. But they all work. That's why make short and long term goal and act accordingly.

To learn more about all those marketing, look around this forum. To learn what really works in your locality, spy on your local competitors. See what they are doing and just replicate.

    I hope this helps.
