How To Get Traffic For a Poker Strategy Site

Hi Steffen!

Try develop a live or slideshow video about poker that incorporate some of your strategy. Make it a teaser/preview video for the content that you have in store on your blog.

Next, upload it to youtube and optimize your title and description around some great poker keywords revolving around poker for beginners.

Use the Google Adwords Keyword Tool to find some great under-the-radar keyword phrases that you can optimize your video around.

Poker is still very hot so start with a YouTube video or two to get some traffic!

I will definately be doing video aids in my strategy series already, so by optimizing the ones I have already made as well as additional teasers will be a good start.

How about solo ads in the poker niche, is that used at all?

I think that video Marketing can be good for Poker strategy.

Like free lesson On YouTube with a link that redirect to a free guide lesson.

It is a kind of visual thing and it will definitively bring you traffic and email.

Or forum can be great too.

It there any forum for poker?


I would say the most important isn't the way to get but the fact that you are constant or not.

Here is a site I found with Google. It is paid advertising and there were a bunch of them. So get some banners made up and start advertising on different poker sites

Thanks for the update on the youtube rules. I guess that is why my add has been pending for 3 days.
I checked out the facebook rules, but I can not quote them directly since my text is in Danish. It says something along the lines of: "It is allowed in some countries after previous agreement with facebook". Whatever that means. I have seen black jack ads on my facebook, so I guess some gambling adds are allowed.

Great point about the marketplace section! I have found at least one more forum where it is allowed to have your website in your signature, so I will definately be doing some forum posting.
Nice to meet a fellow poker player. I have been playing professionally for the last 4 years. So as I started to get into IM it seemed like the obvious choice. My idea is definitely to target online players since this is what I know most about.

I think there are people out there will damn HUGE lists of poker players, or people who have bought poker products.

you need to ask yourself....self....how do I get in contact with these people who have these lists, this would not only be lucrative, if you can do this, but with the right offer / product, could make you a very large sum of money.

1) videos, bing, YT, and FB.

2) Plus, put ads on BANNER SPOTS of high traffic targeted FORUMS.

I can tell you I use to do $200 a day in this niche. But I can confirm, its still not a niche as hot as it use to be.

But, in saying that, its still a NICHE, worth hustling for.

my no 2) above would be my best tip!!! ANd you can start with like $50 a month, and work up from there.

Here is one article: What Are Keywords, where all basic stuff regarding keywords are explained very simple, understandable even for noobs like me .

When you understand how SEO stuff works, you will be ready to explore your niche deeper, compare your competitors, etc. I don't have experience with Youtube but I am very pleased how my website started ranking just after choosing the right keywords and doing on-page SEO

Just like you would on any other offer. You might have to lean in on a different angle on some networks cause of their terms but. Keep at it and don't worry about the competition so much. At least for what it says. Do your research...

I have sold advertising to on-line gambling sites on my sports site in the past. In-fact a few on-line gambling sites reached out to me when I owned and operated the pro football site. I sold them a blog post or two while I was the Director of Photography for an arena football league. Obviously the site was filled with sports fans.

I'm curious whether its website worked. I would be inclined to think that the answer is no. The online poker has declined dramatically since 4 years. New players are rare.
