Split Tester for WP 2.7...?

Hi,

Are there any decent (or any at all) split-testing
plug-ins for Wordpress 2.7?

I don't mean ones that'll just rotate the theme...

Rather ones that'll take 2 or more landing pages,
(read: posts or pages...independant of theme),
switch them, report on 'em, and intelligently decide
which is the best performer...or at least tell me so I
can decide for myself...

A multi-variate would be the cream on top

Thanks in advance,
Steve

    Yooo Steven

Here are a few, they may link with other things that could work for you.. i.e. the first one works with Google web tools:

Google Website Optimizer Plugin for WordPress by ContentRobot

spinContent plugin for Wordpress - Split Testing made easy on Wordpress <- not my link, but it is an e-junkie link

WP Spinner - <- created for "dupe content" filtering (what crap, eh? ) but has A/B split testing capability

I am fairly certain these have all been forward hacked for WP 2.7, but I don't know if they will definitely fit your criteria.. some to look at though

    Peace

I wish there some reviews on these. It seems like a big opportunity for someone to make some cash writing a quality plugin. I've been dying for one, but I am hesitant to purchase one without a proper review. I would also like to see easy internal tracking and stats so that I don't have to point to some other website to check stats. Maybe someday, but I'm ready.

        Yeah, me too.

Perhaps I should just write one...

Fact is, I'm not totally comfortable with Google's results.

After all, they may be slightly slanted towards their own advertising business model...

        Not mine. Or yours.

        Theirs.

Steve, if you do find something, please let me know. This is seriously the last missing piece in my online arsenal.

      Mine too.

But I guess we're in the minority...

      ...presumably because the clued-up folks
use static pages + PPC + Google to do their
      testing.

It does surprise me though, that a decent
Wordpress split tester is...conspicuous by its
      absence.

...we must be a small market.

There is a new paid plugin called landing jumper(?) that has quite a lot of features. A more basic (but free) plugin is Test It by fellow warrior Andrew Hansen.

I saw Landing Jumper or LP Jumper (I think that is the name). Seems cool, but the problem is you have to use something outside of your site to track results. There was a plugin that existed a long time ago on some "fire" marketing website that had split testing and tracking built into. It showed you the split test results right below your post or something like that. But thanks for the heads up, Leanne. The funny thing is I am so desperate to find a good Wordpress split test plugin that I located the LP Jumper site before it even launched. They were surprised I had even found their site!

@grover69 the "fire" website that you are referring to is fellow warrior Andrew Hansen where he was probably talking about his membership site called Firepow. The plugin is Test It which is included with Firepow (as I understand it) but Andrew also gave it away for free.

Wow, funny this got back to the top of WF. Actually, two nights ago I tested out that version of TestIt on one of my "tester" Wordpress 2.7.1 sites and it does in fact work! Parts of the interface are a bit broken, such as visual editing your other test post. But it does track hits so it works. The things that I don't like: I would love better tracking stats (I can be a stat junkie) and Conversion Chicken does something that I like (but setting it up has stopped me from using it - it needs much, much better integration into Wordpress) which is it tracks what "split" is working and shows it more often so you can almost set it and forget it...and the fact that your links show the odd looking .testit2.php instead of a nice clean looking link. Why can't someone just update that and make it better? Drives me crazy. Thank you though, Leanne!

I use the Ad-minister (slightly modified) plugin to split test landing pages on WP2.7 - just use a static page with code from the modifed plugin and add the forms to Ad-Minister.

It records displays and clicks on the subscribe button for each form.
