Changing content in a Kindle book

In my Kindle kdp dashboard, there's an option 'Edit book details' - and when I click into that there's an 'Upload your book file' button.

...so it looks like I can change the content after I've published.

(Which is useful because there's a couple of edits I want to make.)

Is there any point after which I can't upload a new file without creating a new item (a new title)?

I don't want to create a new item because I want to keep any reviews etc, after I've made edits to the content.

    Hi,

I've started publishing my first books 10 days ago so I won't pretend to be an expert but I don't remember seeing anywhere that there's a limit to the number of updates you can make to your book. I even remember a forum thread in the authors marketing club I think it was, saying you should update your currently existing reference rather than create a new one... Especially since once a book is in the KDP you can't delete it, you can only revert it to a draft.

    Seb.

You can keep uploading new versions of your current title for as long as you need to. Each time you do, your new version will go into review status until a human editor approves it. The old version will continue to be available until the new one is approved.

Once the new version is approved, anyone who bought an older version will get the updated version the next time they sync their device.

      John:

Will the customers still have the old version or will the new version replace the old one entirely?

Once they sync their reader, they'll have the current one only, as far as I can tell with mine.

Aaah thanks John, I was actually wondering if updating a book would take it offline while they review it! So the current version remains available until they approve the new one... Good to know.
