PayPal and Security Measures

Hello,

Something try to enter to your paypal address today and receive the following message:
"Security Measures

We are currently performing regular maintenance of our security measures. Your account has been randomly selected for this maintenance, and you will now be taken through a series of identity verification pages.

Protecting the security of your PayPal account is our primary concern, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."
Then 2 fields with a credit card data and second field to put your CC number.

But, when you complete the field , PayPal Logout your account and return with 2 message, "Click here to retry
Return to the homepage"

And so on.

No help, no contact, nothing.

Thanks for your help
Adrian

PS: Do you have a phone number of customer service (paypal)?
Thanks

    Adrian,

You most likely got hit by the same scam that was tried on me this week.

The "security alert" I got was NOT from PayPal, it was from 'PayPals' with an 'S' at the end.

Luckily for me when I clicked on the link IE jumped in with a 'phishing scam warning' before I had time to enter my details.

Double check to see if this is what happened to you, and you may need to set up a new password and login with the real PayPal asap.

I always go to paypal by typing the address in my browser bar.. I never click on any link in any email, not even if its a payment email. I always have and always will go directly to paypal by typing it in..

This is the best way to protect yourself.

Thank you guys for your comments.
I don't click in any email pseudo sending from paypal.
This occur when I try to enter in my address bar, with the url https://www.paypal.com
Waste one day calling to paypal, sending email to customer service, etc. and in my second call the customer service help me to resolve, and force me to change password and security question too.
By the way, He ask me if I try to buy at ebay, but not, was not my case.

Maybe my comments help to others.

      Thank you
