Serial Refunders on Kindle?

Are there "serial refunders" among Kindle customers? I have several books on Kindle right now, all 99 cents. None are based on PLR or spun from other people's content. A couple are fiction, and the nonfiction ones are well researched and have gotten good feedback from people who have reviewed them. I haven't had a huge problem with refunds, but they do come regularly.

I don't want to presume that everyone loves my books. Some customers might genuinely feel they didn't get their 99 cents worth. But I also wonder if there are people who habitually use Kindle as a free library, as some people use Clickbank.

    Hey Larry,
I think this is probably normal. I get refunds too. Not a ton, but they do come. I have good average to good reviews also, so far no one who has gotten a refund slammed my books. (knock on wood!)

If I had to take a guess, I suspect some people buy books looking for specific information, can't really tell by the description or *look inside* feature if the book contains that info or not, so they go ahead and buy the book. And when the book doesn't contain the info they were seeking, they request a refund.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Refunds and returns are all a part of doing any kind of business. Just keep putting out quality books, and you'll be fine.

Thanks, April. I'm not too worried as the refund rate isn't really that high. My main focus is just selling more books in general. I just find it annoying to see refunds for such low priced items! But I have to remember that many Kindle readers probably buy books every day, so it can add up.

    Larry,

One thing nice about the Kindle platform. If someone requests a refund the book is removed from their account and reader. It's not like a PDF where they get the refund and keep the ebook.
