My Wordpress CRASHED - Please Help

Dear Members,

I've installed the Optimizepress Lite theme to my website recently, which I recieved from Chris Farrel Membership few weeks ago.

After I tried to activate - my Wordpress crashed saying:

Failed - Server not authorized.

The problem is, that I cannot login to my wordpress, if you go to my site: joingaborkiss dot com which was my personal blog I've just started next to my first niche sites, you see the result.

No login, no movement on my page is possible

What can I do?

Thank you,
Gabor

  • Contact your hosting and see if they can restore your wordpress. In the future make sure you back up your website atleast once a week.

If the only thing you did was install a theme, login via cpanel or ftp to your hosting.

    Browse to /wp-content/themes/

Then delete the folder of the theme you just installed (optimizepress or whatever it was called)

Then try logging in. By deleteting the active theme, it will revert to the default and is usually an easy quick fix.

    Hope that helps.

Yes, I doubt that the site or database was destroyed. Ftp in and delete the new theme's folder. That should work.

If the above doesn't work, you need to contact your hosting support.

I have the same problem and using Filezilla I deleted the theme's folder. Now, why can't I upload and activate the theme?

Your site seems to be just fine to me but if you are still having trouble then contact your Hosting provider and ask them to restore your MYSQL database or you can restore it yourself if you have a back up.

Try Logging into it VIA FTP.....go to the /wp-content/themes folders and delete the theme file that you installed.

    that should work

Found the problem. The reason it crashed is because you're not using Chris hosting service. Once you transfer your domain to his host, the theme will work perfectly.
