If I had to choose between a SEO blog or article submission to give me traffic...?

Hey guys,

I know both article submission and blogs are great ways to get traffic to a site.

I was just curious on if you had to pick one or the other which you would go with...

    Article submissions is the no-brainer choice for the experienced marketer. They give you many backlinks back to your website for both SEO benefit *and* clickthrough traffic. Eventually, articles can get picked up by various search engines, RSS feeds, end up on peoples websites, and so on...

    ...the long-term, unexpected benefits come from article marketing.

    However, have you even thought about simply combining the two? What would prevent you from having a well optimized blog with a bunch of keyword rich articles pointing back to it?

    Ya that definately makes sense. How do you link the 2?

    Am I thinking into it to much?

    If I had a blog on my sites relating to my niche, and then dispersed articles through different submissions that linked back to my blog or a different page on my site....Is that all there is to it? Or am I missing the bigger picture...

    The 2 actually go hand in hand with each other. Just having a blog that has 'on-page' SEO by itself is only half the battle. The article marketing with back links adds the 'off-page' SEO that help increase your blogs ranking power.

    I will do both.

    I think both are extremely important, of course some products are more suitable to use a blog to promote than using articles.

    Article marketing and blogs are working fine for me.. both are related as they focus on writing quality content for the readers and search engines.

    definately both in conjunction. Im guessing your going with a more organic method? If you can, i HIGHLY recommend you use adwords or adbrite :-) they really are the mother of adveritising! you dont need to start off with a lot of money, but you will see n immediate rush of traffic.

    TRAFFIC = organic methods + (adwords+adbrite) = $ !!

    If i was to pick one i would have to go with articles :-)
