INTERNET MARKETING

hey guys,

I've got an optin form on one of my sites which has suddenly stopped working.

It's been fine for over a year, but recently I've stopped getting subscribers. No idea why.

I've spoken to aweber and there's nothing they can do, it's all fine their end, and so they advised me to get someone who knows a little about code to look into it.

I suspect it's something very simple that I've altered or removed while doing routine editing etc, but I haven't been able to find it, despite pulling my hair out several times

I'd be super grateful if anyone could check it out for me, and if you can let me know how to fix it I'll paypal you $25 immediately

I don't want to post the url here for obvious reasons, but if you let me know I'll PM you the address.

  Davis, Aweber will give you the script again. Just delete the old script in your HTML and drop in the new one.

  This happened to me before as well. I changed the "list name," which unknowingly generated a new HTML/java script for the form. I'd double check that the form in your website matches the form code Aweber gives you.

  - Go into Aweber and grab the code again.
  - Delete the old code/squeeze box in your html file.
  - Paste in new code and upload.
  - Magic.

  Thanks a lot for the responses. Unfortunately simply grabbing the code and repasting into the form hasn't worked for some reason.
  
  I've had someone else look at it and they can't figure it either.
  
  This is the message I get after trying to subscribe:
  
  "Sorry, the email address is not a valid email address format. You must provide a valid email address in order to submit this form. Please push the "back" button on your web browser and try again."
  
  Anyone seen this before?
  
  Aweber themselves have looked at it and say that as far as they can see it should be working properly, but obviously it's not!
  
  Any ideas?

  I suspect something else on your page is causing a conflict with the email form. During one of your many edits you may have left an html tag open or malformed. If I were you I'd go to The W3C Markup Validation Service run the code through there and make any of the recommended changes until the code passes validation, then try the form out again.

  David - it sounds like the field that you have named "email" and the box that aweber "thinks" is the email address is not the same thing. Does that make sense?
  
  Make sure that the required email field is correct.
  
  I don't know how else to explain this but I would be more than happy to take a look.
