Why do I not see youtube videos on page 1 for certain local keywords?

I know enough about SEO to know how to do it, but sometimes I don't understand how youtube videos rank on page 1 of google.

Lets take this keyword for instance:

"mold remediation nj"

or

"mold remediation new jersey".

I see videos on youtube ranked for these keywords, but I'm sure I can outrank them with better seo/more backlinks/more promotion. My question is however, what does it take to actually get these videos on page 1?

Because believe it or not, I see more competitive keywords in other niches, with horrible SEO, and really want to try getting videos on page 1.

I just don't understand why it seems so random sometimes. Like sometimes youtube videos will show on page 1, other times they won't.

Does this ALL come down to normal SEO?
Say that this was my video (which its not because its horribly done lol):

It ranks #1 on youtube for "mold remediation new jersey". Even though the headline targets "mold removal new jersey".

But for that video, why doesn't it display on page 1 of google? It ranks #1 on youtube? If the owner of that video built more backlinks, optimized the video better, is that all that is really needed to get on page 1 of google?

Or do you need MORE & better backlinks than actual websites on page 1 of google? Which in that case, I'd be better off just ranking a website instead. Correct?

What am I missing here?

Thanks guys - Red

It shows up as #3 for me on Google.

There are two other sites above it that are just regular websites.

I don't know the exact question myself, but I would think that just because a video shows up ranking #1 in Youtube, doesn't mean it is going to show up on page #1 of Google.

Doesn't it still have to compete with regular websites?

I mean if Google feels that regular websites are more relevant that the video, it will show those sites first?

But if it feels that the video is more relevant than that would show up first?

That's my guess, and I am sure someone will come along and correct me, lol
