33% of Hits But No Pages? What does this mean?

My Awstats list of Referring Sites shows that another blog has 33% of total hits on my site for October, but no Pages recorded at all. The topic area of his blog is the same as mine - How to Set Up a Blog etc. What is going on? Is this good or bad for me?

His blog is a new one, but looks very professional. He specializes in webdesign and SEO.

Any ideas anyone?

If I understand your question, you are seeing hits, without page views.

I'm not familiar with Awstats, but of course, I use other analytics that do similar things. In my experience, some of them can be a little awry when it comes to reporting the figures. For example, they may be counting bots as visitors.

So, the thing is that you need to be discerning when it come to interpreting the data as it is displayed. One thing to do is read the FAQ, Support Manuals and other documentation if available because others are sure to have noticed similar anomalies and there may well be answers waiting for you via those sources.

My first thought was that the other blog is hot linking your images, but I suppose you would have noticed if they had the same images?

You are probably aware that it is simple to tell if they come from your blog, just right click on the image and copy image location.

I wouldn't expect that from a professional, decent blog, but that's all I could think of.
