Content for autoresponders.

Hi,

I am trying to find and present content for my 2 autoresponder series. One list is computers/electronics and the other is making money online. Would summarizing content from Ezine articles be okay? Would I need to state the source in the emails? What are some other ideas for content?

Thanks.

Not really. As you can see from their Terms of Service (do read them, if planning to use their content!).

Nothing wrong with reading articles there as a source of inspirations/subject-suggestions, of course, but be very careful re-using their words. It's ok to be influenced by people's ideas/thoughts, but not to use their words. Copyright, you know?

You can use entire, unedited articles complete with their resource-boxes, from an article directory (and that's what they're there for). But again, you need to read the Terms of Service of any article drectories from which you syndicate content.

Its worth being particularly careful about this, as so many marketers do deliberately opt in to their competitors' lists, under pen-names and so on, "to see what's occurring" and if someone finds their own content coming back to them without their resource-box links intact, and so on ... well, you can imagine the rest ...

Recent, offline sources are good. It's a way of giving people information/approaches they probably won't have seen before, which is always a great credibility-boost.

If you use Ezine Articles you must give credit to the source. Another way would be to get 2 or 3 articles on the same subject, read them and rewrite a sumary in your own unique content.
    Hope this helps

You need to be very careful indeed, if trying this, because of the law of copyright relating to "derivative works".

Bear in mind that article directory articles have been deposited there specifically in order to be re-published in newsletters/mailings/ezines and on websites.

That's what article directories exist for.

Given that that's so, it's a lot easier just to take entire articles exactly as they've been made available, and not edit/summarize/alter them, and take them in accordance with the directory's terms of service (which one should always read). "Just saying" ...

It would be great if you provide fresh and genuine content in your site. It would generate more viewer than duplicate content or summarizing content from the Ezine. Google really care about fresh content.

Google really doesn't care about the content of emails, which is the topic at hand. Unless, of course, they are using that content to decide which ads to show on gmail.

If you (OP) decide to use articles from EZA, either whole, swiped for derivative works, or simply as inspiration, I highly, highly recommend you spend some time checking anything put forth as a fact in said article.

There are still way too many articles in the archives more concerned about keyword density than factual accuracy. In many categories, especially the ones popular with article directory marketers dumping content for backlinks, the articles available make the National Enquirer or Weekly World News look like the Encyclopedia Britannica...

Just write some high-quality, original content for your autoresponder. Try and theme groups of emails together; for example 6 on one topic (that all promo the same product) then a couple of generic emails, then another mini-course.

This is one area where PLR is a boost too. No resource box or credit to give, you have the right to edit/tweak, too - and it's cheap.

You can take something and then look for recent news relevant to it if it's a broadcast and not a follow up that might get outdated.

For instance - let's take your MMO niche. If you were touting some WAH program, you could easily come out with an "although the jobs report says it's dipped down, many are working 2-3 part time jobs instead of finding gainful employment..." and talk about the exact stats, etc before introducing them to your method.
