Where do I start with solo ads or adwords?

Hi, there,

Interestingly, I've studied countless areas of IM but excluded ways to get traffic quickly.

If I have a little bit of money to spend on a solo ad, or even adwords, how can I make sure I'm in the best place for the most traffic?

I know there's more to it than that, but does anyone have any hints or tips for starting out with adwords or a solo ad as far as where to place the solo ad, or how to get more out of it traffic-wise, then you're putting in?

Thanks a lot, and I hope I explained this right.

Have a good day, all,

- Paul

What ever paid traffic source you`re going to use you need to make sure you have a half decent sales funnel set up so that you can monetize the traffic which your paying for

PPC works well and so do solo ads

With solo ads start off small and pay around $35 - $50 for an ad and with that you should get around 100 - 150 unique clicks to your squeeze page

Check out the classified section, you can find lots of solo sellers in there

Knowing the best ones and the ones which send you most buyers is just a case of testing, something that we all have to do to separate the quality from the garbage

      Good advice from Paul.

Also there are tons of ezine directories online, just Google it, where you'll be able to find lists for solo ads.

One is actually called the Ezine Directory (ezine-dir . com.)

You got places to start... good luck.

It depends on the type of your site. You need to find out some sites those are similar to your site and add ads in those sites.

You may receive the number of opt in clicks, but you aren't gauranteed any money. Those lists are blasted daily, so some may opt in, but you might never even hear from them again. Go look up your competition and see how they write their emails, see if that turns you into a buyer from them. The other method is setting here and actually reading books from BHW to increase your wisdom.

i will possibly go with solo ads because adwords has a learning curve. You may want to sign up to the potential vendor list before buying the ad to determine how often ads are placed. Also ask about the names satisfied customers

yeah.. I go with solos too.. but I will have to fine tune my sales funnel every now and then by tracking the opt in and conversion rates.. and of course like the rest say.. I need to test which seller is sending quality clicks... you don't want a dead list..

The question is a bit too general for me to give you a really concise answer because there are way too many factors to consider. It's not a matter of using solo ads or PPC such as Adwords, it's a matter of what kind of business plan do you have and how much marketing research you've done to ensure that you have a good chance of setting up a profitable campaign.

It also depends what market or niche you're going after and what kind of product / service mix you have. Some markets have a ton of people offering solo ads while others don't. Regarding Adwords, you definitely want to immerse yourself in studying it because it's tricky. You can lose your shirt really quickly if you haven't figured out how to do keyword research, how to target the correct geographical areas, how to use the content network, etc.

Also writing compelling sales copy is critical to getting people to click on any of your ads regardless if it's a solo ad or PPC.

Paul hit the nail on the head when he said you have to have an effective marketing funnel if you want your paid traffic to pay off. Unfortunately, you might have to lose money in the short run in order to discover this because you'll have to run traffic through your new marketing funnel and then tweak to increase conversions.
