Hi,

I was wondering if anyone with experience of submitting free e-books could answer a couple of simple questions. I've been trying to submit my free e-book to the following directories without much luck:
ebookdirectory.com
e-library.net
getfreeebooks.com
free-ebooks.net

Free-ebooks.net states that the e-book needs to be over 20 pages and mine is not . However, there are a lot of other books already on the site in the marketing section that are also under 20 pages, so I don't understand why they won't accept mine.

Ebookdirectory.com and e-library.net both want me to provide a direct link to the ebook download but it can't be a webpage on my site. Does anyone know how I'm meant to do this?

Finally I need to provide a link back to the various e-book sites from my site. I am assuming that a simple clickable link with the websites name will be ok?

Thanks in advance, none of these sites seem to give clear instructions. I've been told these are the best sites to submit to, if anyone knows of others I can use as a good traffic source do let me know.

Do you wanna less headache about this submitting things? Then I suggest you to go to Fiverr.. there are some good gigs who can help you submitting your eBook to numbers of "free eBook directories" for only $5. If you have the budget, it will help you a lot.

    Cheers,
    Bizamanda

Probably a change in policy that came in after those shorter books were accepted.

Provide a link to the ZIP file.

    I would think so.

    Good luck.

    Clair,

You can submit your stuff to the big document sharing sites and generally not have any worries about provinging links back etc.

Here are direct links to four of the main ones:
    Docstoc
    Issuu - You Publish
    Scribd
Upload & Share PowerPoint presentations and documents

    Very easy to upload.

    Best,

    Andy.
