Where does everybody find the time ?

You sound like you are taking on too much by yourself and not concentrating on one project at a time. You should FOCUS on one project and make that work then apply to strategie to other projects.

You could also outsource some the work and this will give you more leverage=time. Its all about creating leverage.

Simply don't waste your time on reading lots of stuff, learn one thing and implement it, don't try to learn so many things at a time

Just allocate 2 hours of time for Internet Marketing 1 hour for learning and 1 hour for implementing

It's exactly as you've said: your projects are half finished.
Pick one. Finish it. Work on it a minimum of 30 minutes every day.

I wake up at 7:00 AM to take a shower, get ready, eat breakfast, and head to work. If I'm lucky, I have 10 extra minutes, and I use that time to tweet and find followers.

I have 2 15-minute breaks at work. I use those.
I have 1 30-minute lunch at work. I use that.

Then at 5:00 I take the 30 minute drive to school to use my phone (I'm not the driver!) to answer e-mails, do some research, or write an article.

At 9:00 PM I'm out of class, and take the 30 minute drive home to continue answering e-mails, doing some research, writing an article, tweet, use facebook, etc.

I eat dinner when I get home, I work some more and then I go to sleep.

I don't find time. I make time.

I recently created a new thread and one of the tips was to stop making excuses and never give up

if you want it bad enough then you have to do what it takes and not just say "im tired" or "i don`t have the time"

for 2 years i worked in a manual job working from 8 am to 6 - 7 pm 5 days a week and then worked on my IM business from 7 - 8pm to around 1 - 3 am and then worked on it weekends as well

i did this for almost 2 years

if you try hard enough at something you will eventually find a break through

no one is going to suddenly had you the keys to success, you have to earn it, that`s part of the fun :-)

You can always use the weekends. Just stick to one project at a time. Or you can always use elance or one of those sites to get someone to do some of it for you. I've used elance to telemarket for me before and it helped, because I hate doing that.

I had the same issue about 12 years ago when I first started. I did the following to get me back on track:

1. I put the TV away and cancelled my cable subscription.

2. I planned out my week ahead of time and the night before I planned out the following work day.

3. I got as much sleep as possible (7 to 8 hours). It wasn't always possible because life happens, but I made it a point to squeeze some deep REM sleep because it would help my energy levels.

4. I ate very healthy foods (at least 51% raw foods daily). If you stick with this for 7 days you'll feel amazing. And if you're a coffee drinker or an energy drink drinker, you can quit drinking those. Stay away from anything with corn fructose syrup. Yep, that means no sodas, most juices, etc. It actually robs you of energy and it goes straight to your fat.

5. I exercised regularly. Even on super busy days I'll find ways to exercise whether it's walking in place, doing jump rope for 10-15 minutes, going for walks, using the stairs instead of elevators, etc.

6. Study time management. Managing your time is a real business skill that most people need to refine.

7. Only spend time with action-minded people with similar goals as yourself. About 12 years ago when I first got started I dumped the television, stopped going to weekly poker nights, and broke up with the unsupportive girlfriend.

I'm not saying don't have fun, having fun is important too, but when you're short on time you have to prioritize.

8. Focus on one thing at a time. Studies bear this out. While the human brain does have the ability to multi-task it's far easier to focus on one thing at a time when you're first getting started.

I see people working in 2, 3, even 10 websites at one time, then they try and write content for all of them, while trying to install some new software and figuring out how it works while signing up for Advertising.com and Google Adwords to start ad campaigns....and on and on it goes...until they go crazy and create run-on sentences and drive themselves totally insane!!!!!

9. Focus on selling. I see people spending way too much effort and time on things that don't make them money. Focus on your offer and sending traffic to that offer or whatever your monetization model is, focus on whatever is going to make you money.

I fired a client last year because she was spending 90% of her time on her autoresponder series because she wanted them perfect. After a month of trying to get her refocused, I gave her a refund because she wasn't focusing on the things that were going to make her money.

You've got to focus on what's going to bring in the dollars.

I would highly suggest devoting a solid hour everyday, before you start working on your side business take a 30 minute power nap, and then put your 1 hour in. You can get so much done in a hour, if you make lists, and delegate small chunks of time to getting things done 5 minutes there 10 minutes here.

It's all time management, people waste so much time in this business, you've really just go to focus and block everything else out and focus on making cash.

If you try to work two jobs you are going to feel like you are working two jobs. No pep talks here are going to change that. It's a question of how much you are willing to sacrifice and how smart of a move that is. You could be sitting on the next million dollar idea or you could spend the next two years working hard and making nothing. What is your gut feeling telling you?

I disagree with those on this forum that say newbies should stick with one project at a time. I think you should be doing two or three vastly different types of projects so that you can more quickly pinpoint what's going to stick.

Here's another thing to consider:

According to the "Executive Control of Cognitive Processes in Task Switching," published in 2001 in the American Psychological Association's Journal of Experimental Psychology, people that multi-task actually end up wasting 20 to 40% more time than if they were to focus on one task at a time.

The late Jim Rohn taught me that in order to get more done I needed to focus intensely on one thing at a time. I think once you begin to build your skill set you're better able to multi-task, but life and business experience has taught me that when you're getting started, it's smarter to focus on one thing at a time. When you do that, your chances of completing the task goes up tremendously.

Stop buying products, stop building more sites and pick ONE of your projects that you're going to focus on. Try and put just 1hr a day into it and focus on getting that project up and running. Make sure you have a long term plan and a strategy in place and stick to it. Don't just jump in head first and have no idea what your plan is. Think about how you're going to make money from it and work towards that goal.

I've utilized the Uberman and Dymaxion in spurts when needed. There's a 10-14 day adjustment period that sucks; but once you get over it you have a lot more time throughout the day and you have some pretty awesome dreams when you do sleep.

All I had to read was your sites are "half finished."

Maybe finish them, and take the time to develop each one.. It's not ideal to have 5 projects at a time and jumping back and forth. Knock one out at a time and keep moving forward. for 10 sites you have HALF COMPLETE, you could have 5 COMPLETE and bringing in revenue.

In my opinion, you can make plans for per day, per week and per month according to your business. And then you can reach your target with your efforts. Moreover, the methods that you need think for your business are very important. They should be suitable and effective for your online business. Just my tips. Hope that can be helpful. Good luck.

I have found that making a list with tasks to be very useful.

I have made an account with Teambox which is free and has an app for the iPhone. I set my goals at an achievable timeframe and work at each task until that project is finished and then move on to the next.

To be fair and honest, I have strayed from this rigid path and moved on to dabble at other projects before they were actually finished which is probably the reason I am not successful

Stop coming to the warrior forum for 4 hours a day, and go write an ad, PPC, a press release, some articles, or do set up a solo ad in that time.

Im full time now but I can remember when I was in college and trying to do this part time I would never get anything done even though I was only in college for 20 hours a week.

Honestly when i do blogging, its kind of "working" online and not creating a real business until i moved into the world of product creation....

I'd say take the ideas from the replies here and focus on the ones you can implement in your life. Dont try to do everything all at once. One thing that works for me is a list. Write down a list of what you want to accomplish in an hour, a day, a week, a month, whatever time frame you want, and then prioritize, and then start working on it.

I have a friend who has been writing two books for about 20 years! She is nowhere near done, she bounces from one to the other and gets nowhere fast. She doesnt listen when people suggest finish one before tackling the other. Dont be like her, it doesnt work!

Best way to do it, wake up an hour early.

Use that peaceful, quiet time for your Internet business.

With an uninterrupted hour every single morning, you won't believe how much you'll be able to progress with your business.

That's all it takes, nothing fancy.

I have found that making a list of what you want to get accomplished in a day/week helps immensely. Then you have something to focus on when you sit down to actually do the work. If you start off with just small goals, then work your way up, you can be so motivated to keep spending your extra time working.

Everybody on this Earth is given the same amount of time - 365 days a year - 7 days a week - and 24 hours in a day. It is all about how you actually use your time!

Set up a working timetable and stick to it, that way you 'forced' yourself to work for results.

I just want to say that Don't just work hard.... Word technically. Use your brain and IQ and implement them in your daily Affiliate works. You will definitely get success.

I'm in school right now and when i get home from class, i workout, do homework, then work on the business. I put working out and homework ahead of my internet business. And i'm doing great while on this routine. Doesn't leave much time for leisure activities... until like 3am in the morning after i've completed everything.

Internet marketing is time consuming because you always must do something else to promote your business. The competition doesn’t let you rest.

You should do what fits with your personality. You have many alternatives online, but in order to maintain a business you must be an expert. This is not a simple matter. Be realistic and focus on what you can do better than anything else.

Sales is where it's at, everything else can be tweaked along the way. I should know. I spent not a few months on "everything else", but over 7 years! I wrote more about this here.
How to find time for your business when you work full time

Sticking with one thing at a time is important. Why? Because once you've mastered a task, you can outsource it. Understandably in the beginning, newbies try to do a million things at once to see what sticks. In some respects , this is necessary for broad exposure to a lot of techniques. However, at some point a really solid market offering based on customer need must be established and relentlessly worked on daily.

Well, they say that a person basically won't make any more than their parents did.
That being the case you need to look at what drives you, which is one of the most important things when doing business. Otherwise you will achieve success and then just stop for no reason.

My personal experience coming from a middle class to lower middle class environment has been to push myself to do the work. To make it a lifelong routine and never stop, because I know if I stop then I won't do any better than my parents did and for me that would be failure. I believe each generation should at least move a few steps forward from the previous.

A lot of motivation speakers hit rock bottom and were homeless or in trouble during the low parts of their lives, a lot of your rich people were in the same boat. Their motivation was to never have to experience those down sides of life again.

So, in short find out what motivates you and develop a routine.

Plan and organize your tasks. Just find the motivation to work everyday when you're at home for 2/3 hours more to do the SEO part. You could also look to outsource a part of your tasks, like writing articles. If this is not possible, try to push yourself. Sky is the limit!

I use a to-do app to put all my daily tasks out there, this way when I get back home in the evening even if I'm tired, I push myself to finish at least 1 more task.

I only work part-time at internet marketing and work with local businesses. I have to divide my day into specific parts. Evening an weekends is the time for my offline client work. To do this, I have had to give up some things, so I can get ahead.

I have four young children and work from an office at home. I also do lots of voluntary work, at our local school and sports academy.

I keep a record of everything I do through out each week day, so that I can see where I could manage my time better.

I keep a weekly 'to-do' list. Rarely anything left un-ticked come Friday night.

I keep weekends free if possible as family time.

...It's tough, but I manage somehow. However I found when I started making money, it helped focus the mind! : )

if you want to really make money online, after you've a product to promote, then focus your time on marketing them..promote..promote..promote..
get the right traffic to the right offer, then you'll make the sales..

We just released our FIRST "WSO" - which is actually a WSO before the Offer. Fortunately for us, it's me and my husband who work. So many people say "you're so lucky to work from home and have all that free time!" Not. We put in no less than 60 hours per week - each. That includes contract management (talking to our clients), actual appointment setting/cold calling (our bread and butter) and in the last month preparing our mentoring program (our newest bread and butter). I can't tell you how many nights one of us cracked and went to bed at 7 pm...or with a headache. It's all paying off though, because we FOCUSED on what we needed to get done.

So, not to be redundant, but if you have these WSO ideas or anything else that can make you money and help others - PICK ONE and FINISH IT!!!

i suppose the best solution for your case is to outsource the half finished sites. After that you can reevaluate what you ll do.

Focus and set your priority for your daily tasks. Don't touch anything else before you finish your tasks. You will find enough time to do what you have to do.
