I've heard that you get Google smacked if you submit you article to numerous article sites, is this true?

It seems a waste to write a different Article for every site, why not just stick with one if you are writing different Articles.

What's the real scoop?

    I've never personally been "Google Smacked" by submitting the same article to multiple directories. However, I don't normally do that type of submission strategy anymore. I have my own reasons for submitting different articles to multiple locations and it is more for visitor retainability and user experience.

    Also, it has been my experience that Google will only show 2 reults from the same website.

    For example, if you submit 10 different articles that cover the same keyword phrase to Ezinearticles.com then only 2 will show up in the top 10.

    So with that in mind you want to spread out where you submit your articles so you can occupy all top 10 results.

    That is absolutely not true! I submit some (not all) of my articles to 10 different sites, and have never had a problem. I do this for backlinking purposes, and it works great.

    I suggest you submit your article to any and all directories you choose. More exposure for your articles and your business

    I have never found this in my time article marketings...sure submitting to many sites will trigger the duplicate content filter but this doesnt mean that you still dont get credit for the backlinks. Otherwise it would severly deprecate any benefit of article marketing.
