Broadcasting microphone?

I can't find anything for less than $150 and I am not even sure they are good for recording voice. What microphone do you use or suggest? Are there less expensive broadcasting microphones around?

Blue Yeti USB Mic is very cool if you're recording on the PC?

That looks good man but still $109. That's out of my budget at the moment. Any alternatives?

My best advice is, if you want a really nice sound for voice, you really need a condenser mic. Well, you don't need. A good headset is often "good enough". But if you are truly looking for DJ level sound, you need a condenser mic. SURE has some good cheaper models. And to use a condenser mic you'll need some additional stuff.

What are you trying to do exactly? How perfect does it really need to be?

Here are two microphones that I have used and both of them create good quality sound.

Giga-wire Noise Cancelling PC Desktop Microphone I paid $20 for this one
Plantronics 510 model or 500 mode microphone I paid $40 - $50 for this one
(noise reduction technology so it's great if you have noisy background)

The Plantronics one I was able to record with my 2 nephews who were wrestling right outside my door and when I listened to it later I couldn't hear them at all.

They are a bit older but I am sure the new versions will be just as good.

Just a note, the sound quality is good enough for selling products and doing podcasts, but if you are looking for DJ quality or professional quality like Streetbacon is asking (love that name) then you might have to pay more than you want.

I've used simple $39 logitech headsets with filtering software. Works fine.

You get what you pay for. If you want broadcast quality, you have to pay for it.

I use an Audio Technica AT-2020 - brilliant quality, but it was £100 in the uk and worth every penny.
