How to Track Banner Ads Click for Free?

I have a site that needs promotion. I already contacted some blogs with targeted traffic and have negotiated a banner ads placement for 1 month.

At the end of the month, I want to see how many people clicked on the banner ads to get an idea if I should extend the promotion.

What free tools/software do you recommend for this? I already checked out LinkTrackr and its looks really awesome but I was wondering if there is a free alternative you guys can share.

I also know that I can create landing pages for that but my site is not exactly one that's suited for a landing page. I want to direct them straight to the homepage.

    I concur with jovykhan - No reason to pay money for a tool - Google Analytics will definitely do the trick.

    Make sure that you have your conversion goals or e-commerce tracking set up as well, then you will be able to track exactly which banners that drive money your way
