Making money today?

Hi,
I own an amazon affilate site and it is brand new and I know that it will take at least a month or two [maybe more] to get the first sale,and I should wait.
The problem is that I would like to see a small income right now,not 1000 a day or a month I'll be happpy with a dollar a day,how can I get it?

    Well my friend, traffic=money. So if you have everything set up now its time to drive traffic and money will come. And to find out how to drive traffic to your site all you have to do search this forum for threads to do with traffic and you will be sorted

      The best way to monetize your site fast is to get traffic as soon as possible.
      There are lots of way to generate targeted traffic, but that would depend of what kind of audience you are targeting.
      you can use:

      -Google adword ( pay traffic)
      -bing ad (pay traffic)
      -Facebook ad (pay traffic)
      -social media (like Facebook, Link-in, Tweeter ....)
      -YouTube (very big potential if done properly)
      -Forums
      -Blog post
      -SEO (In my experience not that fast but really works)
      -Article marketing.

      Those can ways can generate traffic.

      My advice is to pick up 3 to 4 for ways and be constant on it ( Do that every days and you will see result).

    Did you build a wordpress site or something similar with amazon affiliate links on them? Or just a basic free amazon affiliate page? Because the latter is a pipe dream.

    It's not just about traffic from your blogs or website, but targeted traffic and the only way to get that is through good keyword research. I tend to stick with either the fitness or technology niche and only ever promote products which have low competition or are relatively new to the Amazon marketplace.

      If the competition is low then the traffic might not be as targeted; in some cases.

      I tend to promote products that have a lot of competition because I know the demand is high and the copy converts.

    PPC is going to be your quickest solution. Just be careful as it's pretty easy to burn through your $$$ pretty quickly. Also, if you're going the Adwords route, it's going to be VERY tough to build an affiliate site / page that Google will deem "OK."

    Bing is a little bit more lenient. And you can get some free vouchers if you look around.

    friend, waiting for the first sales @ commission via amazon does take long time..
    you'll get bored then before you see the numbers in your account..
    if you try something faster like ebay might be better..
    but be careful, otherwise you'll end up losing money paying for ebay fees..
    i suggest you explore yourself, find your skills, advantages & passion.
    make a WSO based on it..then, promote it..you might see the number faster than amazon affiliate.. :-)
