Clickbank Vendors: Wordpress or Another Platform for Your Website?!

Question for Clickbank vendors: What coding platform should a new vendor have his sales page/website built with?

Wordpress? Something else? If wordpress, is Optimizepress the best theme to use? What do the big boys use for their sites?

The requirements I need are:
* Safe and secure (as much as possible, anyway)
* There will be a video sales page for the main product, and a one-time-offer page as well.

I will be hiring someone to build the site for me, but I want to know what the general consensus is about the best way to build a professional CB sales page.

Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance...

    Hey,

It depends somewhat on the niche that you are entering and how you want the site to look/feel.

I would say stick with HTML since you say you are adding in a video sales page and one time offer page.

Also wordpress does have limitations unless you know your stuff coding .css style sheets. With a HTML sales page since you are outsourcing you can add graphics, video and other elements without an issue.

Just make sure you test your website between the popular browsers like Chrome, Firefox and IE before launching.

Again Wordpress I have found awesome if you are offering a service as you can customize the site but for a basic (but beautiful) sales page go for HTML.

Hi Cool Hand Luke - You were asking where you might look for programmers who are proficient in HTML...I would recommend that you check some of the online freelance sites such as ODesk, Guru, iFreelance, eLance, and rentacoder (they deal mostly with programmers, software engineers, etc..). Hopefully by checking out some of these sites it will help you to see who is out there, what their experience is, and what they are charging.

I hope that at least helps you some.

Wishing you all the best in all that you do!

    Go with HTML.
As for finding coders, they are here in the programmers section or just do a search at the top of the screen for "html coders" - that should do it.

I think Wordpress is the best choice. There's a lot of themes and frameworks you can use to make your site look cool, and exactly as you want.

Wordpress is very easy to use too, and actually this is the only platform i use. You don't have to overcomplicate things in order to make money.

    Never give up.

Wordpress does everything you need it to do easily.

You can even put HTML into it - with the appropriate plugins.

You can adjust every aspect including meta tags, plugins give you quick
and easily modified squeeze pages, salespages, and all types of email opt-in
widgets. Why do HTML when you can go with easy modification and split testing with the ease of a wordpress site?

You already have a WP techie - why now go out of your team's skill set? What is the compelling reason that makes HTML BETTER than Wordpress? If it were that you knew HTML better than Wordpress, then that would be enough, but sans that akill set - stay with what you have.

I have found a lot of success in life and business by doing what others who are successful do, and it seems like the first few posters were right: the big boys do things with HTML. As such, I will too.

I get what you're saying about wordpress being good because I already know it and have a programmer, but after checking out a few dozen of CB's top sellers, I only found 2 sites based on wordpress platforms. I'm not trying to re-invent the wheel here, so I am fine paying more and working just a bit more to make sure the site I am building:

*looks how I want it to look
        *converts well
*is safe for my visitors and affiliates (and their transactions)

Anyways, thanks for the help so far guys.
