Need advice on reaching mommy bloggers
My company has an idea for a new product geared towards young kids. They are clothes hangers shaped like monkeys and come in 7 different colors. We have the product prototype and it's very well made - each hanger weighs about 3.5 ounces, feels pretty heavy and not cheap at all.
We have made a promo video and a one-page website for the product:
rainbowmonkey.net (can't post live links yet)
We will be adding the product to Kickstarter in a few weeks. Before that I think we should generate some "buzz", since the Kickstarter campaign only lasts 30 days. I thought the best idea would be to contact mommy bloggers since the product is for kids. What is the most efficient way I can accomplish something like this in a very short amount of time? I think I have 3 options:
- doing it all manually
- use a scraper (would be impersonal and yield a lower response rate)
- outsource someone to do it
What's the best idea and are there other ideas?
Also, once I find these mommy bloggers, how do I know what their readership is and their traffic levels are? I'll be offering them a set of the rainbow monkeys in exchange for writing a post about us if the project goes through on Kickstarter. Is this good enough?
Any advice would be appreciated!
Thank you in advance.
