Find Cool Free Stuff on Twitter

One of the things I love about Twitter is that it's completely and totally ripe for data mining. Whatever you want, in real time mindset language, it's there...

So, I started searching around to see what kinds of free things I could find on Twitter, and here is some of what I found (keep in mind that it changes all the time because new stuff is being added every day):
If you find this kind of cool, then..

1. Let other warriors know below if you find anything you think is really cool, informative or unique!; and,
2. Let fellow warriors know if you can think of any other cool, free queries to search on Twitter (for example, I just played around with "free lawnmower" and was NOT disappointed!)

What did you find? What do you think? What would you like for Twitmas?

Thanks for the info. I don't use twitter because my mentor said "Real men don't twitter" but if I can get some good free info then why not!

    Thanks again.

Shaq twitters...has over 400,000 followers. He's 7'1" and weighs about 350. Is your mentor more of a man than that?

lol Kurt... and I just want to mention one thing... in this day and age, Kurt, you might not want to use the word b*mb in anything that you're advertising. You don't want to end up on one of those Homeland Security "watchlists" with the 90-yr old grandmothers and 12-yr old boyscouts.

When we used to have meets in Las Vegas, I told those I didn't know, that once they got outside the airport to hold up a sign saying "Bomber meeting" so I'd know who they are.

This may explain the postcards from Gitmo...

Seriously, I've used "bomb" for about 7 years. I'm sure the guys from NEA know all about me.

lol, Jester, I used to say the same thing... however, it occurred to me that "real men" help others in need and if there's a lot of free stuff on Twitter that can help people, then I'll grab my Remington and go hunting for it...

completely and totally ripe for data mining
You hit it right on the head there. that's why the other social networks and even google are all over twitter.

this is a cool thread cause it shows us how to use this new data!

Well, there's nothing new under the sun, they say. I have been data mining Twitter since I first heard about it from Brad Fallon but I found that list by typing,

    free stuff on twitter

into Google and it was in the first listing the came up. I just think we're not allowed to link to blogs from here and it's not like that's exactly proprietary information... just a neat idea.

Go check it out for yourself, if you want... ask the blog owner, but I think it's generic enough info that it's not really copyrightable. A small mention, or link, is, I believe, just ethical in this case.

Can't wait to see what everyone else finds.
