OMG - I bought a fiverr solo advert and I made money

This is for all the people who buy solo adverts looking at cost first and then blaming the source for the lack of return.

So the solo advert on fiverr was pretty clear, they were going to send my advert out to safelists. Now to me that's awesome as I already have a complete marketing funnel set up for safelist traffic.

I have a great free video, a confirm page, video page with upsell and cross sell.

Sure enough the traffic was delivered, I was able to see which safelists were used, and most importantly the offer was a good match and it converted at the expected rate.

The double opt-in rate was good, and one of the leads took the upsell, and I basically doubled my investment and got paid to build my list

So next time you buy a solo advert think about how it fits your marketing funnel rather than throwing multiple $5's at the wall and blaming the poor seller for poor results.

this is a big no no, never get a solo from fiverr, you got a fluke here big time.

This is just gunna be bot traffic or junk untargeted traffic, do you think that is a GOOD longer term business plan??

nope, buying from someone like this is not a good idea.

ANd realistically is not a very good longer term business strategy.

These emailer that sell solo ad gig jobs soon expire their lists to be worthless. SO I would not engage in this. These sellers will make money in the short term, but after a while will get dismal results, and customers will find out the hard way.

You get what you pay for anyway. I would rather pay $100 for a reputable solo ad, or even spend $300 when you know your message is going out to a list of buyers.

Cool. I like the link in your sig and I'm sure your motivation for starting this thread hadn't anything to do with that. Right? The last thing a "wannabe" marketer should be worried about is throwing lots of $5 at solo ads. They seriously need to rethink their whole approach to online marketing as a whole. Awful advice man.

Just to clarify, what do you mean by a "safelist"?

    Thanks,

I love that you doubled your investment. That means you made $10.00? I just spent $10.00 on 2 Vodka soda's watching football...

I would stay clear of Fiverr solo ads, normal solo ads are tough in general, one big pitchfest. I prefer Offline marketing...take your skills, find a local business, charge them $250 to $1,500 to manage their marketing. Done deal...

I don't know if I would do the same. But it doesn't seem as if they are using their own list. I would think to us something like GotSafeList or ViralURL. They both have huge databases and if that seller has a paid membership they could be sending your msg out to some buyers. I know that was my experience with the paid memberships. But if they aren't paying...I wouldn't expect much results at all.

I would never do it if the seller told me it was going to their same list they send msgs out for everyone. That is just not respecting his list and people will start responding less and less. So in this sense, I agree with Celente.

But I'm happy for you that it was all positive. Keep moving forward!
